First Driving Impression
Yesterday I got a chance to do some driving yesterday on our 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray. It is equipped with the Z51 and 3LT packages. And this particular car is an auto.
Overall, I am impressed with the stock performance of the new Vette. I ran it down the back of our 1/4 mile dragstrip at Lonestar Motorsports Park (next to our shop in Sealy, TX). And the speedo was reading 125 mph. My 650 rwhp CTS-V Coupe runs around 135 mph on the same section of track.
Overall power delivery, shifting, intake sound and throttle response are all very good. I am guessing that a better flowing intake, tune and a set of headers are going to make the new C7 a rocket and give it similar performance to the C6 Z06.
This is a very good car. And the media hype we have all be reading for the past 6 months is not hype after all. Chevy did a great job and the 2014 Stingray is THE REAL DEAL.
We will be doing more testing this week and will get some baseline 0-60, 0-100, 0-150 and 1/4 mile ET and mph numbers on the stock car before we begin the modification process. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the post Mr. Hennessey. On another note my hats off to you for the supercar you developed. I would have one if I had the money. Keep up the good work. Chuck

Good to hear but the same can be said about the LS3 equipped C6 vette. Slap on intake, tune, headers and voila 450rwhp
