That's not true. Some of us are waiting for an allocation. Having said that, I would not have taken this car and would wait for exactly what I do want.

Furman-Criswell West Courtesy deliveries are happening
So, here is what living in Oregon does for you:
No sales tax
A State mandated (maximum allowed) $75.00 dealer doc fee.
Dealer has the option of providing the buyer with license plates (not vanity, though) for $25.00 at the time of the sale. So, you can drive your new car off the lot with new license plates AND 4 year tags.
Every 2 years thereafter (after your 4 year original tags expire), your tag renewal fee is $96.00. So, bottom line is...... this amounts to $48.00 per year for your car registration fee in Oregon.
No smog check...... IF you live East of the Cascade Mountains, as we did.
Inexpensive car insurance because you live in a rural area (again, we lived in Central Oregon).
The trade offs living in Oregon:
High income taxes. I believe about a 10% (minimum) State income tax.
High property taxes. In some counties, in and around larger cities like Portland, property taxes can approach 3% of the assessed values.
Always trade offs. They have to get their money from somwhere, some how. The biggest issue has always been that Oregon has no sales tax, so tourists pay nothing for services provided to them (police/fire/roads/parks, etc.) when they visit Oregon. The resident property owners cover those expenses through their proerty taxes.
To make this post relevant...... Mike Furman rocks! Our best friend in Oregon has a C7 Courtesy Delivery happening in the next few weeks from Mike. That C7 will be delivered on a truck with 3 other C7's to the Chevrolet dealer in Central Oregon who agreed to provide those Courtesy Deliveries. Bend, Oregon will be rocked with 4 C7's hitting this small community all at the same moment. The dealer will be known as Criswell West!!! Kudos to Mike Furman for putting this all together, and kudos to the dealer in Central Oregon for providing the Courtesy Deliveries to these 4 Furman-Criswell C7 customers. Incrediably, this dealer even has a dedicated Corvette Specialist Tech!!!
How business is done, folks.
