Stingray at invoice?

For some reason Dave@kerbeck was trolling the viper forum and caught my post there, yet missed my post here the day after my wife and I got this offer. Do a forum search for my posts and you will find the original thread. Absolutely dumb luck. Maybe Dave should do his good customers a big favor and give them discounts.

Guess I am a little p*ssed at dave@kerbeck calling someone he does not know a liar. My wife and I never planned this purchase. We are devout customers of Rick "CorvetteConti" because of his unquestionable honesty. Rick and I had already planned a 2015 Stingray order ( which is still planned ) to add to the 2012 GS vert, 2013 427, and 2013 Anniversary ZR1 he sold us. I also have a 2000 Viper GTS track car, and 2009 Viper SRT Aero ( I have driven vipers competitively for 12 years hence my Viperclub post ). I am hoping Rick understands my ordering this car elsewhere since an INVOICE deal could not be passed up. This C7 will probably be a trade in to Rick when GM eventually lets me order a Z whatever. Dave, quit being a troll, I got a rare deal.

Ni offense intended and I hope you love your car!

Its in the driveway. Cannot believe how fast order to delivery was, including being pulled for 4D00. Wife was nice enough to drop me off at work tonight and take the Stingray for its first drive. Dealer stuck to our agreement, basically ended up being $8000 under MSRP by my math. Blade Silver with the transparent roof looks fantastic. Rick, I will see you May for the HiPo order. Back to work for now...

Lucky you... unlucky us other buyers.

Nobody got 1 allocation. If you were eligible you got at least 4.
If the story is even true, which I doubt based on the source (viper forum) my guess is that it is a dealer with no allocation who thinks if they take a deposit with a "sold" order maybe GM will give it to them.

You did not address his asking why YOU don't discount the C7!

TacDoc has the car in his driveway already at approximately $8000 below MSRP.
I see all kinds of cars coming to the dealers that are not presold. As soon as they start stacking up in the showrooms, they all will be discounting.

The $8000 got my attention so I thought I would put some numbers together. Going by the options the car has as posted on this thread, the MSRP should be approx. $70,420 and the invoice should be approx. $63,703. If the $8000 is correct, then the Dealer went about $1300 in to his Dealer hold back...WOW.

Personally, I think it's crazy so many people jump on an msrp deal like the dealers are doing them some kind of favor.

It could be this dealer had an allotment. Could care less about dealing with a
Corvette. They are a headache if don't have the volume to warrant a
repair department. So get a sure sale, get it off your hands asap.
Not everyone cares about the car. Its just another chevy. That looks like a ton
of asian sport cars. Closest dealer hear {sic), said can get a car. But they will not
service it. Have to take it to Big H town.

And to my knowledge, without sales and tech training, that dealer will not get allocations to sell you a car. Like many dealers, they will promise the moon - but show me an order with a delivery date, coach. If they don't pay GM for training and special tools, my bet is they are getting zero Corvettes anytime soon.
Oh, and practice your English skills a little bit - you're a little short.
