Test Drove C7!! 21 Year Old's Impression
I'm a senior at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. GM is on campus today recruiting, and they have a bunch of execs here as well as marketing people etc.
I was biking to class at 10:30am , when I saw a Lime Rock Green Z51 with black wheels driving east on Hill st. After cleaning up the mess in my pants, I followed it, where it parked in front of Ross.
I walked up to the car, and the woman asked if I wanted to drive. I thought she was joking, but she was serious. She actually let me drive. I had to show her my drivers licence and sign a paper ( didnt really read it ). I started it up, and played around with the different modes, I couldn't figure out how to toggle NPP sadly, but did give it some revs in neutral. I drove off and didn't want to be too aggressive with it. We talked for a while as I drove through campus. Once on Washtenaw drive, I had a chance to open it up. I took it to 4200 RPM and it was unbelievable. It RIPPED. It was stupid fast without any effort at all. Test drive totaled probably 10 minutes, but it was unbelievable. I'm 6'1, and I had tons of room. Front visibility was great. Side not so much.
It literally made my week, and 2 hours later I still cant stop thinking about it. It had the leather interior, and the woman said the one I drove was roughly $62,000. I cannot afford it, but I'm dying to get into a c5 ASAP after that experience. Wow...... speechless
Anything you guys are curious about?

Congratulations on the test drive. Good luck in your studies.
The NPP exhaust sound can be toggled in two ways.
The first and easiest way to do it with a car as configured from the factory is to rotate the driver mode selector all the way to the right in Track mode. That will open the valve.
The second way is from the center touch screen. Press the settings icon.
The second menu item should be driving mode. Press driving mode and select Engine Sound Management. There will be a series of choices Auto (which ties it to the mode selection switch), etc. or Off. Select Off.
That should take care of it.

Congrats, I got into my first c5 after I graduated college. Take your time and focus on your studies so you can get a job that lets you afford a corvette. I'm only 32 now and currently going back for my Masters on top of a full time job. It's a lot of work, but having a c5z06 waiting for me in my garage and work parking lot does make things a little easier to handle

Were you late to class? Just kidding.
Was it a manual or automatic? What did you think about the color? If you had the money would you buy one today?
Peace.

Doesn't prove a thing or provide any true insight. I can say the same thing about my '13 GS. Dakota3 in another review said he felt immediate difference in steering and suspension in a non z-51 car he just bought. How is that possible. Dont you need Z-51 to get mag ride and if that is the case he obviously felt nothing but some placebo effect. I will have to drive the car myself to believe anything that is said in any review.

Very nice review They are a BEAST from all we have seen and heard.
Regarding a few of the responses here, as if any further proof was need, there are definitely some among us that could literally "...." up a "..." dream
