Personally , I thought it was a pretty PC interview....and on the configurator, it's unacceptable it's not better - web guys are all over the place and that's easy code to write....

Scraping the splitter.
This is what stands out to me (especially since my car is at 3400 and VIN 1670 and am expecting it to be built this week ):
I think GM recognizes that there is an advantage to offering an automatic, even in their high performance offering. IMO, we are going to see them offer a version of an automatic in the that version when it's introduced next year.

You always thought the manual outpaced the automatics on Corvettes because you have the Z06 and ZR1 where you can only get the manuals, but whenever you offer manuals and automatics as an option, you always saw automatics always have that 5-6 point percentage lead.

Also on the constraints on the CF roofs and the request to have dealer see if they can change to transparent.
Good info but you can't blame them to taking the Chevy perspective. I'd rather have a PC interview than them say nothing.

Nice interview.
It's funny how the dealers are still supposed to check all fluids before delivery. If GM is checking every car for quality, wouldn't that include fluid levels and leaks?

You are questioning/criticizing them doing MORE checks than necessary? Really? Why?

You can never "overdo" the quest to deliver quality.

Second, other than the really easy ones to check, I wonder if they even do it at all.
Third, I wonder if a dealer has ever found low fluids on any car.

My neighbor bought a used one from a private seller. It took the dealer two days to do the pre inspection. So I believe it.

I remember a story a friend of mine told me while he worked as a parts manager at an Olds dealership. A mechanic came in and announced, "I need a set of plugs for a 350 Diesel".

Wonderful! Thank you for posting. This helps explain the 4300 Nashville thing. I found this statement particularly interesting as I am one of the cars in Nashville.
"We’re taking the cars, getting them through the quality assessment, we’re evaluating almost hourly where we are with the cars, and then loaded them on transports and sending the transports out.”
If they are evaluating almost hourly where the cars are relative to QC and shipping you would think they could give us some kind of ETA on the cars @ 4300 in Nashville. Oh well I guess they'll ship when they ship! So glad to hear it actually is just a QC inspection issue and they did it to expedite the process. Maybe we will see many of those cars go to 4200 early this week!!
