Too bad Vickie didn't stay around for the long run, or maybe not.

I have not seen her lately. I used to drive home from work thru Hollywood and see her in the the pink corvette. I don't think the billboards with her on it exist now.

My wife is a breast cancer survivor. I would gladly paint my Torch Red Stingray hot pink. I'd let her drive it...............................while I take the Aventador!

Just sent the check for the down payment for my vette. The total price for the car was $94,587.65. OUCH! and when I get it wrapped, add another four thousand which will bring the total to $98,587.65. Yes, it is just short of a hundred thousand. The dealer added a 2% advertising fee. They also added a $7,500 Inventory Market Adjustment fee. The IMA fee is a temporary premium being collected due to the lack of inventory available. Did anyone else have to pay that IMA fee or am I just the stupid one who did?

Assuming you bought in UK, yep you're going to pay through the nose

That is why I ordered Torch red. I doubt my husband would go for the pink and on occasion he will drive it. But if I was going to wrap or paint one pink I would order white with gray interior.[/QUOTE]

Here in Dallas, I see pink Mary Kay cars all the time, especially Cadillacs. It is just a matter of time before I see a pink C7

You could have ordered one from one of the forum vendors and paid less than MSRP....

I was going to say that's a high price to pay, until someone mentioned you're in the UK. I don't care what color it is, the C7 looks great in any color. Good luck, and don't forget to post pics.

Cheers.

No, I ordered the car from a dealer in Las Vegas not the UK. Will be moving back to the states in June and hope the car will be ready then. When I built the car I chose every option. Guess the price adds up. It's OK, because it will be a beautiful car. I did hear that the dealers were adding five to ten grand on the cars and yes that was true in my case. I paid it because I wanted that car. I am so excited. I do appreciate all of your comments and making me feel welcome.

This is unbelievable. There is no amount of options on a C7 that would bring the total to even $80,000. And no one here in their right mind is paying over MSRP since there are plenty of dealers selling for that and under. The dealer saw you coming. Cancel that transaction immediately! You are being cheated.

Thanks for your comment. Go on the build your corvette website on Chevy.com and pick every option for the 3LT and see what you get. My build was $79,530. Then add 2% advertising fee???don't know what that is. Then add NV sales tax and document fees. Then the dealer added the $7,500 because all the other dealers in Las Vegas do not have any more order allocations to order the car. I called all of them. I would have to wait until the 2015 cars come out in November. I have already paid the down payment. Yes, I do feel cheated.
