Starting to feel a little tension on my chain...
Can anybody think of a reason why, if I paid a deposit in January and placed my order with the dealership he has still not told me what the price of the vehicle will be after it had been requested more than once?
Initially, he was going to place the order but I had to requested comp seats so the order had to be put on hold. I've not heard any further info as of yet. You'd think that I'd at least have a signed contract, order number or something? I suspect that my place in allocation at the dealership was given to another whose order could be filled immediately...maybe I'm paranoid?

Have you asked these questions at your dealer?
Have you tried the Sales Manager or Owner?
If you have tried all that and it has failed why not send a PM to Chevy Customer Service here on the Forum?

While current pricing is definitely available your dealer may be hesitant to commit to a dollar amount because the m.s.r.p. prices could change by the time the competition seats are actually available. They should, however, be willing to commit to your purchase price as it compares to whatever m.s.r.p. is in effect when your car is produced, e.g. straight m.s.r.p., m.s.r.p. less $1000, etc.

Clearly, I will need to spell out to them a series of answers that they can provide my open-ended question.
Not a confidence-inspiring start to the relationship.

There is no doubt your allocation has been given to someone else and they will continue to bypass you until the seats you ordered are available. It is not fair but ordering what is available is the quickest way to get one.

No, there's no rebate. I was referring to the fact that some folks here have reported buying new C7s at $1000 under M.S.R.P. as a result of dealer discounts. It was just an example of how some of the early deliveries have been priced.
