Dear Mr. J. Glen Exxxx,
Thank you for contacting Chevrolet regarding your 2014 Corvette Stingray order. We apologize for the delay in our response. We have received a large number of inquiries since Wednesday’s shipment announcement. We are working as hard as we can to provide the latest updates.
As of September 20, 2013, the status of Order Number RH**Z3 is the following:
Order has been placed by your dealership and accepted by Chevrolet and is now in line for production. This process can take time, is subject to change, and does not mean that the vehicle is physically being built at this time. The next step in the process will be the assignment of a Target Production Week (TPW.) However, at this time a TPW has not been established for this order.
We appreciate your patience and recognize the high amount of anticipation for the 2014 Corvette Stingray.
Thank you for contacting Chevrolet!
Sincerely,
The Chevrolet Marketing Team

I e-mailed them either 2 or 3 days ago, and just got an answer. My car is 'going to be' a convertible. The last that I saw of it was maybe an hour before the system went down, and it had me listed at 3000. According to the answer that I just got back the car is now at 2000. (Does the phrase ''Hurry up and wait" ring any bells with any of you?)

I have also heard nothing!! Here we go again, same path as Track Your Chevrolet, Chevy Chat, and now FAQ. Love the car, can't wait for it to arrive but sorely disappointed in the ability of GM to keep its customers informed. Don't say it can't be done, it's done and done well by countless companies and businesses out there.
