Default Watching Mecum auto auction...

I m watching Mecum auto auction and I have seen several 1967 and 68 Vettes sell for over $150,000. My question is will the 2014 Stingrays be worth that much in 45yrs?

Only in reruns....actually the special models like Z07 or a ZR7 will be the big dollar cars. They will produce far to many C7's to make the regular model rare.

I'm sure those were Big Blocks which have a very good collector value, asfar as the C7 the 2014s are all the same engine don't think they will be that special, now when the performance model comes out it might go up in value in 45 years or might not - I will be well in my 100s or belly up by then.

Standard Big Blocks from those years won't bring near that money. They would have to be very rare optioned and well documented to bring that kind of money.

Makes me happy about my 71 though

Also there is a BIG difference between a 67 and 68. One is worth far more than the other.

Sure you'll get $150,000 for you '14 in 45 years.....it will help you buy your $50,000 suit and your $75 bottle of beer.

So bottom line, the only way a Vette will get to be over $150,000 in 40yrs is if it was a limited production model or the top of the line model at the time (not a standard model in which they produced a ton of), and it is low miles in pristine condition. Got it.

Do you mean $150,000 in today's money or 2059's money? I have no doubt it will bring $150,000 in 2059's money.
