Sky Line Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway drove me nuts. Once was enough ! The best drives are out west imho. The Dragon's Tail is over crowded now too.

Don't do it in the fall ........... Way to many peeps looking at trees. Seriously ! Max speed limit is 35 mph ........... And they do patrol it. I simply would drive it in short segments then jump off onto a different highway for a while. VA is a long state to try and do 35 mph.

If you don't like the Blue Ridge Parkway, you don't know when to go. I've been doing it for about 27 years with sport bikes and Corvettes (couple other sports cars too), and will as long as I can. Official speed limit is 45 for most of it, but really not a limitation. Also there are many roads as cool as the Dragon, but unknown and not overcrowded or patrolled.

I've been driving the NC mountains all my life. There are plenty of roads up there that are fun to drive besides the Dragon's Tail. It's just too crowded and over-patrolled nowadays. Hwy. 276 from Brevard into the Pisgah National Forest is awesome for instance. It even crosses the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are tons of others.

Don't know about you, but I've never seen a cop there. With all the technical curves, sweepers, switchbacks and esses, going over the limit for long enough to get in trouble with one is nigh impossible. Can't wait to get the Stingray up there.

I suspect (hope) it will not be long before we see pictures of new C7's on some of these roads along with personal impressions of the car and the drive.......... as long as they are willing to take the time away from enjoying the ride

Melting Slicks
Funny, they included Puerto Rico, but nothing west of the Mississippi.

Back when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, my favorite trip was driving up Mt. Hamilton Road to Lick Observatory. If you are in the area and haven't done this, plan it! An absolutely marvelous drive.
Now I'm in the flatlands of central North Carolina. Four hours to get to the mountains. Waaahhhh!
