New car for the first time?
This will be my first NEW car from the dealer that I ordered exactly how I want it.
Although I know there are studies saying it causes cancer, I can't wait for that "new car" smell. My last couple of cars had it, but they weren't new. They were close to new.
Anyone else buying a C7 as their first new car?
I'm 30 years old, and finally dug myself completely out of the recession.

Congrats on your success.
This isn't my first new car, but it's the first one that I've ordered to my specs.
I hope the C7 new car smell is better than the C6 smell. It was quite plascticy for quite awhile.

Yep.
The wife has had four
I am cheap and consider new cars a terrible waste of money. We will see how I felt about my C7 purchase when the C8 launches.
I am really close to used ZR1 pricing and that has been weighing on me going into this purchase especially since these are made in such high numbers in relation to ZR1s.

I ordered a 1976 Trans Am from the PX in Nuremberg Germany. Picked it up in Dallas. Carousel Red, 455, 4 speed, honeycombed wheels. Loved the car but had only 200 hp. Can't wait to see my new VY, Z51, loaded Corvette soon!!

I ordered my first car before I was 21, a 64 Vette convertible. It sold for almost a years pay, and it came into the dealers lot on my 21st birthday. This one should be here before my 71st birthday. I'm figuring on buying a new Vette every 50 years, and so far it looks good for me. (I'm still driving the 64, not every day, but usually at least once a week!)

Exiting times for me as indeed this my first new car ever and on top of it built to my specs. Level of excitement is through the roof...
I am 51 years young and it never made any sense to me financially to buy a new car...until I saw the C7 then all my nice fiscal theories went out the window....
This is my 5th Corvette and my 28th car altogether. From a 1935 hot rod to many 50's convertibles to muscle cars I tried it all. Even did 3 frame ups over the years but those days are long gone... My first Corvette was a trailer queen 54'. Needless to say I did not buy It new...
Congrats on your new car!!

Good for you. My first new vette was an 84. Those cars seem so antiquated now but at the time it was a huge step forward. I was young at wild in those days. Enjoy your 30's, they go fast.

I bought my 2008 C6 brand new. I ended up selling it a year later to fund construction on a second business. Now that I am selling that business I NEED my corvette back. Ive missed it every day since. I think I will wait for the 2015 model year however so they can work the kinks out. Im almost the same age as you.

I previously ordered three new C6's, 2006, 2008, and 2010 GS vert.
I now have on order a Stingray vert and hope to order a future mid C7 cycle Stingray in 2016-17.
