I think the C7 seat is very typical of the whole car. Despite exotic materials, they still only manage to achieve a moderate weight gain.

I would argue that some of the things are flat out dumb. There's no reason to use a solid plate on the seat bottom, it will have no give and be uncomfortable and heavier. The Magnesium frame sounds nice, but frankly I've never had the side bolsters on my C6 bend like he claims will happen - then again, I've not tracked it yet.

The ventilated seat option is definitely nice to have, and the seats are certainly nicer looking. But at the end of the day, they added 15% more weight in the seats. So depending on how you look at it, it's either a fantastic new seat, or model bloat.

Personally, I do like the C7 seats. Very Recaro looking.

I was reading that as well. With all of the fellow tall guys putting their $0.02 in, I was wondering where I was getting the extra clearance in the C7 as opposed to my current and old C6's when the cabin size was supposedly the same.

Well, there you have it:

C6 Car Floor to Top of Cushion: 10.8 Inches
C7 Car Floor to Top of Cushion: 10.0 Inches

That 0.8 Inches was all my fingers needed to get around the steering wheel and make my big *** happy at Road America!
