Probably because its not going to be called the Z06...I mean GM didn't get their panties in a wad about those leaked CADs for nothing. ....the truth is out there...(cue x-files music) lol

My guess is it'll be the Z07 (make sense) or the L-88. Unless of course they're leaving the L-88 moniker (recently renewed the trademark) for a new "super" Vette.

I took his comment to mean that they haven't talked about it publicly yet, so he couldn't comment. He did say "stay tuned". I don't think he was playing games with words and model names. Doesn't seem like that kind of guy.

Well I guess it depends on his definition of "we". "We" haven't discussed the Z06 or a Z06 drivetrain. Guess that could mean "we", i.e. us guys sitting around this table having coffee (and where are the usual mugs of brewskie, btw, that those guys usually have), or "we" could mean we, GM, haven't said anything publicly, or "we" GM guys haven't discussed it, period ("it" as a far a "Z06" it).
