For those who are not yet aware of it's existence, the GM "Build Your Own" site, is up and functioning, for the C7.

It works with my Firefox browser. But, it is not a configurator. It is just a pricing guide. I view configurators as tools that allow you to change options and actually see how they look on the car. When I worked up my vert order, it shows a black vert with black top. When you select the color, the graphic display of the car does not change from black. There is not a place to select color of the convertible top. You can see the interior color although the picture really is not close to the actual color.
So, to me this is a little disappointing. They still have work to do on this tool.

I agree with the above poster. It does not add up the prices correctly. Plus if you choose the "black carbon full length dual racing stripes" it does "NOT" show you a photo of what the car will look like. Their site is "very dissapointing" for old school guys like me.

I just thought it was interesting to play with, even in it's raw state.
Personally, I wouldn't have gone public with the site, until it was perfect, but then, I'm a little OCD.

Pretty good deals at this site....... I added $6500 in options to a 2LT Z51 and the total stayed at $59,005
Think maybe I can find a dealer to do that too?

Yes, seems quite weak. Other "build sites" will show all changes to exterior down to changing the color on the brake calipers.
Hopefully there is an upgrade coming soon that will give folks a chance to get a better idea of the finished look with options on the exterior.
Would be especially helpful for those looking to add the stripe options.

Chevy should study VW's German 2014 Golf R mini-site - their visualization tool gives you full-screen shots with incredibly accurate paint and wheel options and 360 degree panoramic interiors.

Site has been up for a week now (just about).
They added the exterior picture very recently, but clearly it does not yet reflect your options or even color choices. At least the interior changes appropriately (even showing the "suede" steering wheel and shifter if you get the suede seat inserts with the competition seats).
Definitely some work still to be done.
Looking forward to seeing improvements on the exterior. Really want to get an idea of Lime Rock Green with black wheels and yellow calipers. Might be too "Green Bay Packers"

I will have to try this tonight. Last night I ran the numbers for a couple of configurations using the spreadsheet posted on the forum. I guess I need to save a few more bucks!
