Buy what you like. You can see what I like by looking at my avatar. I like to get a little flashy color. My C7 order is for CRT.

Yellow is a brighten your mood, have fun color. Even with the CSR sitting in the garage on a winter day, it's an inspiration for a future summer day. And that my friends is what Corvette is all about. We can get reliable 4 door transportation at one quarter the price. My SUV on the other hand is black, tough to keep clean, but sharp when it's polished. The standard Torch red on a Vette would be my next choice, but, again, just personal choice, as none are bad colors. White would be my last pick, as I saw a white Z06 and it just didn't stand out. Striping or a combo of colors would have helped a lot. But some people wish to blend in and I have no problem with that, but with a Z06?

If you like subtle, a Corvette probably isn't a great choice to start with.

Is Velocity Yellow too over the top?

Well, no...

but everyone knows that Atomic Orange is the fastest color.

Orange, or really ‘atomic’ orange', as the photos below show…. Is the fastest moving thing in the universe at this point. Made from quantum qubit particles… These particles, or things made from them/painted with them, don’t actually travel in the conventional sense, like down the road, they transport…

The Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox shows that there exist … the state of one particle and instantaneously change the state of its entangled partner, and viola it is transported, faster then the speed of light, to another location. This occurs only with the existence the singularized A.O.., or 'Atomic Orange' qubit.

But Yellow is fine for slower cars....

Warning: Yellow Corvettes can be addictive. It happened to me. It started in 1971 when I took a risk and ordered a new yellow base-engine C3 as a daily driver. After 140k exciting miles I was addicted. No power, but the color made up for it. It livened up my drive to work every morning. I replaced it with a yellow 75, then 78, 80, 86, 88, 93, 01, 06, and now the VY 2014 is at 3400 status.

It's very hard to overcome this addiction. The in-between years when owning a non-yellow Corvette were just not as exciting - always looking forward to the next yellow one.

The new Stingray looks truly great in every color. it was very tempting to order either of the 2 reds with kalahari or silver with red. Those interiors are beautiful. But in the end, experience tells me that as beautiful as those cars would have been, they would lack the excitement factor that I've become addicted to. So once again I paid the extra $1000.00 to feed my addiction

Is yellow over the top? Yes!
Is that a bad thing? NO

Night Race Blue - Deep, Dark Blues with Flake in the paint are like my automotive signature now.

My 350Z is San Marino Blue.

1971 you say - that must have been part of the addiction problem I had with my yellow '71. Could have been the fumes from it.

Green, White........traditional
Grey, Crystal Red, Night Race Blue.....rich, distinguished
Black...... sinister
Silver........non-descript
Laguna Blue, Torch Red..........sporty
Yellow.........stunning

It's a 'sports car'. It should be sporty but stunning is better. VY all the way.

The Stingray website has some new stuff since I was there before. Try the color/wheel change section for some good looking pics in all colors and wheel choices. You decide the combinations. The dashboard thing is quite good, too.

My top 2 choices right now are yellow and silver. I know they are at completely different ends of the spectrum, but I think the C7 looks best in those two colors.

So I am permanently doomed with Corvette Yellow Fever?

I have a Millenium Yellow 2004 C5... I adore the color.

I just added a Velocity Yellow 2014 C7 vert... What a fabulous luxury like rocket sled this is. I was 100% certain I was going to purchase a Daytona Sunrise Orange C7 and fate spun the wheel and it came up Velocity Yellow!

When the next Corvette jumps into my path I am starting to believe the Yellow gods will refuse to release me to purchase an Orange one!

Well to state the obvious yes for some people and no for others. It certainly will stand out in a crowd.

I love it! Have been debating on personalized Texas plates myself. I love yours, color looks sweet!

Yeah I am bad about resurrecting old threads but as the proud owner of a Velocity Yellow C7 vert feel it is my duty to pump the Yellow up in here! Wake up people you own a bad *** Yellow Corvette! Let's see it!
