On the 2LT red interior, do you get white contrasting stitching on the dash? I was all geared up to get the 3LT, but I'm getting a Callaway come hell or high water, so I might have to skimp on an option or two to come in at my budget.

However, if there's contrasting stitching on the dash of the 2LT, I can avoid axing other options to try to come in at around 85-87K because I love contrasting stitching. However, if the vinyl is just straight black with black stitching, then I'm going to have to axe black rims or something to afford the 3LT.

I want an Artic White on Red Callaway Corvette with a 7 spd. basically loaded up except for the sport seats.

No.

The Napa leather is just as thin and cheap as the 2LT leather.

In black it was hard pressed to tell the difference in the door quality 1LT to 3LT.

2LT Red seems to come with red stitching everywhere.

So if I wanted a Z51, 7 spd manual, with electronic diff and magnetic shocks as cheap as I can get it, what would I order?

Order the standard/no cost 1LT interior.

Suggest you consider one other performance option, NPP.

I forgot the competition seats, also. My thinking on the exhaust is that the aftermarket, like Borla and Flowmaster, will offer cat-back pipes that will perform at least as well as the factory pipes, save some weight, and maybe cost less than the NPP option as well.

This from a guy who would buy a blue car with a red interior? Really?

You lack the refined taste possessed by true gentlemen?

BTW, I'm not that old, but I do love the green!

I ordered the 3LT. I figured I would get the items that could not be or would be incredibly difficult if ordered after market (interior, Z51, MSRC, NPP) and wait on those items I could order later (carbon fiber dash, exposed carbon fiber roof). I figured this will be my last car order, wanted to make it memorable and worth it.

In the end , I have never met a car owner that has said "boy, I wish I would have ordered down a level". You only live once!

Default I agree with the 2LT Jet Black interior.

The dealer convinced us that since we were going with the jet all black interior, it was probably not worth the added cost. We just added the Nav for $795 and one cannot tell the difference. We are paying cash and could have easily afforded the 3LT, but hey, a dollar saved is a dollar earned. Either way though, good choice. To each his own.

Default Agreed. 2LT with jet black interior.

The dealer convinced us that is ordering the Jet black interior, it was a waste of money to order the 3LT. To the average eye, one cannot tell the difference. And the feel, while sitting in it, is unrecognizable.

The 3LT is a steal especially in the Kalahari or Brownstone. 4 grand more that includes the $ 795 nav which is an option on the 2LT. $ 3200 difference. If one can afford a $ 65,000 car with 2LT, they can afford a $ 69,000 car with 3LT( unless they have stretched the budget to the max). Main reason most go with the 2LT instead of 3LT( unless it's just too much color on the dash for their tastes etc) is a 5 letter word that begins with C.

All Black Interior with the 3LT package for me. To me, you can easily feel the difference.

Because I am personally not a big fan of leather-wrapped everything car interiors, I went the other way. Was thinking 2LT Kalahari just to get that color, but once I decided Black interior, 1LT was clearly the right answer for me.

$8K saved is nearly a million pennies earned.

I am not getting unnecessary options to save money! Going with base convertible, manual, 2LT with navigation. That will save over ten thousand off the sticker price. Why, I'm tired of babying these cars and will use the money to trade more often.
