Wont Miss Taillight Drip!
I'm not planning on getting a C7 till next model year! I've had 3 C6's since 2005, and they have all been amazing! I am ready for a change! Hope I can hold out!!! : It appears to me , that the completely changed C7's taillights may not drip as much as the C6! Not a big deal, but the despised by many,(not me) C7 taillights, could actually be loved by former C6ers, considering the complaining, done over the years about this drip!!

Have you hit up the gathering in Naples on Sundays? I have contacted Nick who sets it up asking him if he wants to do some type of a run from Naples to Cape Coral meet up at the Joint. Check out the Region section. We may do something next Sunday? See link below.

Yes, it's part of the deal. Something must drip.
To take care of the taillight drip on my C6 after a wash, I give it an Italian tuneup (drive as fast as the absence of State Troopers on my two-mile country road allows) and then wipe off the transom with a microfiber towel, which also gets rid of the dust it's picked up in that time. The side mirror drip is another story; just never quite wipes off.
Maybe the C7 will drip from, ahhh, the little stingrays? They do live in the water, you know.

It is a minor problem, and not one that has stopped me from ordering a new C7. But...every time I wash my C6, there is a small puddle of water that collects under the tail lights. I must wipe it 6-10 times to get all the water out of each light. Takes more time to do them right than it does to wash the wheels.
I hope the C7 is designed better. I will buy one and see.

Team Owner
Call me old fashioned, but I've found that an old towel removes the water from around the taillights, so I've never experienced the dreaded "taillight drip". Takes two dabs at each light at 5 seconds each. I'll never get that lost time back.
Now the outside mirrors are another matter.
What has the crack engineering team at GM done to resolve this problem on the C7?

Safety Car
I've owned 3 C6's and never had tail light drip. I would hand wash my car in the driveway and blow dry it with a high power electric leaf blower attachment similiar to the master blaster. I'll trade the "drip" for the round tails on the C7 any day.

Burning Brakes
I want to see if the rear vents keep the rear cleaner with the air flow they offer...
I always laugh after washing drying and then driving my c6 and how fast the rear of the car gets dirty again..
I don't really care but it would be cool if those vents help minimize the c6 issue.
