Default Vents and Grille

Front Grille is a large functional opening divided in 12 sections. the whole grille is finished in GM Carbon Flash paint. There are 2 pieces of matte black plastic blocking back of 2 out of 12 sections, located on top left and top right corners. These plastic blocks have some force behind attaching them to the grille. However it looked to me that they are removable maybe for some customization like fog lamps or more air...

Side Vents are only partially finished in Carbon Flash. One can see that side vents include a visible matte black plastic portion, in addition to the painted part. To me the fit and finish of the side vent was outstanding.

Likewise, lower part of Rear Exit Vents had a matte black plastic insert. Please see attached picture for details.

I was impressed by how Night Race Blue (NRB) and Cyber Gray Metallic (CGM) colors matched vents color. I understand they were way different colors, but to my eye, these two colors had exact same amount of metallic flakes inside as Carbon Flash vents finish. Below please see CGM and hood vent.

and then NRB and quarter panel intake finish.

Yes. As soon as I saw the car in person I knew why they selected Carbon Flash for trim finishes. Looks GREAT!

One of the reasons I ordered Night Race Blue was the way the vents looked on a car with that color. They do not stick out like pimples on a prom queen, like they do with lighter colors. Look stuck on rather then blended in my opinion only...don't get your shorts in a bundle

If you're driving a prom queen, don't complain.

In my opinion both NRB and CGM colors look awesome in that respect.

I would very much like to see a C7 finished with body color vents, I think it would look fantastic.

Nice pictures thanks for posting! The outter two grill portions might be blocked off to form part of the shrouding that forces air through the center into the radiator rather than go around it.

Hmmm... not sure how I feel about the front grill being painted. Seems like it'd be a PITA for rock chips and cleaning bugs etc. etc.
