How much would you pay for a Z06-level C7?
Some here are wanting you to help GM design the C7 Z06...I want to know how much you will be willing to pay for one. 2013 C6 Z06 MSRP starts at $75,600.
Just for fun you can also state your minimum HP number for said car.

To me it depends if they have both a Z and a ZR, as that impacts how you position each.
I would think given what they did on the ZR, they could easily/reliably get 650-700 hp out of a FI LT1.
But. . . they probably left a bit on the table with the LT1 as it sits NA. What about a 550 hp NA LT1?
Obviously we could "what if" all the above in infinite ways. But it may impact where they try to position it. For example, maybe they push the new Z closer to the old ZR, and then have (if at all) a new ZR that is over the top 150k level machine. Or they could just make an incremental move forward with each one and land roughly in same place as last time on pricing.
As to what I'd pay. . . depends on where they land on power with it and how it compares to what Callaway will do.

Hmmm, Porsche increases the cost of their hi-end cars and GM is supposed to lower them? Good luck with that.

Since they kept the C7 price reasonable I would expect the same for the higher HP variations. I can just hear them saying if you could afford the Z06 before you can afford it now.

I chose the lowest tier with the understanding that this would be a base MSRP. As far as weight and HP, if they keep it NA, then I would look for about the same weight as the Z51 and would expect 575HP from a direct-injected LS7 or successor 7.0L powerplant.
If they make the Z06 into a heavy FI car like the ZR1, that will likely be a deal-breaker for me.
But all this is academic. The car is already done and the specs, whatever they are, are set...

Melting Slicks
I've had 3 Z06's and they were great to own, but my interest now is in a polite, well mannered, and economical Corvette. Maybe even of a color that doesn't show dirt. Washing after every use is getting old.

When you do this car try to keep price under $100,000 for the fully loaded Carbon/Z07 version. Even if it is $99,999.99
It will get a lot of flack for cresting over 6 figures - even though it will probably be worth the money
HP really should be 600. Keep the bumps at 100hp with every new generation.
Thanks for conducting this poll. You guys at GM should also do this about the design of the Z06 too, as I have heard some people are not crazy about the rear end.

Base price will probably be around $90K, maybe more IMO.

OK, do we have people here who know for a fact that the car is done or is this just an assumption? Since they are only now releasing info on the base car, I don't see why this would be the case. Why would they do all the engineering and then delay the release?
That would mean a seperate team of engineers for a sub model while the car it is based on hasn't even been delivered yet.
Anyway, I can't really say what I would pay because I don't know what the capabilities of the car are yet. I didn't go for the C6 Z06 because what I used it for it wasn't enough of an improvement over my car to justify the expense. I'll be watching the C7 to see if is the big jump that everybody seems to expect.

Burning Brakes
I don't need carbon ceramic brakes or loads of expensive materials. I just want a bit better pull in 4th-6th and a taller 1st and 2nd. I'd really like to get to 60 in 1st. the current ~20mph in second is just too short!
Heck, a purchasable tune to get over 500hp may be enough. I'd be plenty happy with about 550-600, though the 660 that Keeks mentioned sounds wonferful.
I'd probably be perfectly happy with a Z51 with a bit more power. I may end up in a Callaway if GM doesn't fit the target without breaking the bank.

GM made a conscious decision to keep the Stingray coupe & convertible in very reasonable pricing proximity to the 2013 models they replace.
I am going to speculate that same line of thinking will prevail with a potential Z06. As such, I would put the base price at $77,900, plus a comprehensive option list, not too dissimilar from the Stingray's.
PS: In any poll that seeks to ask what folks would pay for something, and provides several ranges of price, it is almost a given that the lowest price range will get the most votes, the next lowest price range the 2nd most votes, and so on. It will be interesting to see if this poll holds true to that trend.

Fully optioned Stingray shouldn't exceed the price of a base Z06/Zr1 performance model. It should be close to $80K for the High performance C7. I'm getting a Z51 stingray, so I'm OK with whatever price it comes in at
Tadge if I can ask one thing... Please be faster than a GT-R if it's at all possible. Tired of that car whooping everything on the track. Thanks!
