He didn't take the high-banked turn.

Nice. Too bad there wasn't a HUD displayed.

Have you guys read the road and track review where the professional driver had a day at Milford and hit 2 flat just behind Jim Meros 1.58 time..

I hadn't seen road and tracks video of the green z51 but the photos in the article and the article itself was. Quite impressive.

the "professional driver" was Tony Stewart and yes, he got to a 2:00.7 lap time which put him 2 seconds behind the projected target lap of 1:58 at MRC. That was with just a handful of laps behind the wheel. Give the guy some more practice time and he might just break the target time.

I would assume it was set on "track" mode, which from my understanding makes the exhaust system less restrictive than the other settings.

Yes way it's the stock exhaust.

Remember the thread where we discussed the active noise cancellation in the car? In that thread, I suggested it might be cool if the system changed its characteristics in Track mode because of an assumption that the driver would have a helmet on.

It could be that that's what's at play here...

Sounds almost like open headers to me based on the sound and where the camera is located.

Maybe if they had an external mic right by the exhaust tips.

Yes, that is stock exhaust, though set to maximum loudness via the Driver Mode Selector. While I have always had a Borla or a Corsa on my previous/current Vette, the C7 will remain "stock exhaust."

While some of the Stingray colors have an added cost to them, this green should have a $10,000 discount. Toyota, KIA, and Honda must have given their excess stock of green to GM.

Obviously targeted at their new generation of Corvette owner in the 18 to 20 year-old market.

Never so that before. Thanks for posting. From that vantage point (POV Camera) the car looks and sounds like a beast. Great stuff!!!

That sound is so great that I started laughing when I first heard it. To think I'll be making that sound in my own C7 in a couple of months is a happy thought.
