Going from Torch Red to....?

I'm not sure that I'll ever own another black car unless I'm getting an incredible deal. At least I learned how to polish a car from the experience.
I really like laguna blue, arctic white, and both reds... but I worry about the extra police attention in such a flashy red car! I can't wait to see them all in person.

A smart man once told me that you only own black once. He was right. Black looks the best when clean...problem is, it's NEVER clean. Trust me.
After seeing the car in person, my personal choice would be red. 2nd choice would probably be CG with a distant third being silver.
My opinion:
Yellow (never liked on vettes but works on the C7; however, still no) Green (hell no) NRB (may as well own black) White (not ugly but not exciting) Laguna Blue (clean but a bit flashy in a bad way) MRT (Nice but TR is more sporty).

Red is a super color. It looks fantastic polished up, and doesn't show dust right away.

My personal preference is the vert - the coupe not so much.
Colors there would be Black, NRB, Cyber Gray, CRM, possible Lime Green. I think the darker colors offset the contrasting rear diffuser/valance, lower rear panel [whatever] best.
The color combinations with the vert are more involved but I've kinda worked out those combinations also. But that's for another discussion.
Unless this post migrates there.
Bottom Line: I'd go back and do black again, but I think NRB is close enough and should save me from obsessing over swirl marks.

All four of my corvettes have been red. Just remember the title of James Schefter's 1998 book, "All Corvettes Are Red". Enough said. My C7 is going to be, wait for it,...................Torch Red.
Or as John Heinricy, who once lead Corvette's development group of test drivers, said "All Corvettes are red. The rest are mistakes."
Now remember, I didn't say that, but............
But if TR wasn't available, without a doubt I would go Black/Kalahari.

Torch red for me...the question is red seats or black....
Just don't do black as its ridiculous slavehoood even if you are not a clean car freak...
Brutal..remember the corvette doesn't do automatic car washes so its a weekly gig...still the black with kalahari is sharp...
I'd do if not torch red..
White with red interior iscool....
True American icon...such a classic ...white doesn't photograph as well as it appears on the street...in person...white with red interior is off the chart...mind blowing
Btw.....hell will freeze over before I buy another black car! LOL

Black is so ridiculous....I'll never do another black vette either...
I had a couple of torch red vette..I'm going back on the next one to torch red...
I can't recommend black ...it's
I can't imagine 16 years with a black vette.....
To the original poster...I even accept that a slightly dirty vette is a cool vette being used as opposed to a garage queen...but it's still work...
I reconfigured my mindset to literally wash and wax the vette (spray on weekly wax....quarterly full on oribatal polisher and good Adams wax) and get the weekly wash and wax in 12 minutes flat..not including tires gel etc..
Blacks for those who love the labor..of washing and waxing...
Go white...
Over the recent years white vettes are strikingly beautiful and rare.

I'm torn. One side of me likes the classiness of CG over kalahari, silver wheels, black calipers, the other side of me likes the kick-assness of AW over red, black wheels, red calipers, black mirrors. I'm going to Corvettes at Carlisle, hoping they'll have one or two there that I can look at.
At the end of the day, as long as you like it, get it. A note for black paint - GET A CLEAR VINYL WRAP like 3M XPEL or the like, or you'll always be constantly staring at the inevitable swirl marks. Black is a great color but a very needy one.

I had a 2006 silver, then a 2008 CRM, and now a 2010 TR, ready for a change and narrowed it down to a black, or, cyber grey vert with Kalahari interior. I really need to see the colors in person before finalizing my decision.

I went with arctic white and its the number one color so far this year, as told at the bash. Cyber grey with all the red trimmings in and out looks good two!

I have Arctic White with red interior also.. I get lots of complements with that color combo. I like waxing my cars, and with white you dont get that pop after you wax it..my last vette was victory Yellow and that color really popped...
I think my next vette color will be Metallic......

I briefly thought about white with red interior, as my last two sports cars have been red, but couldn't do it--had to be Torch Red! Especially given the vague resemblance to a Ferrari...

I'm going the opposite direction ... from velocity yellow to torch red. Not that I was dissatisfied with VY. To the contrary, I luved it and was gonna stay with it. But da wife wanted TR, so TR it is. They're both primary colors, both bright, bold, and gorgeous, so I'm OK with either. Wife wanted red interior, but I nixed that. Staying with black. Black is great contrast with either yellow or red and matches the vert top for a stunning look.
