All black did not turn me on...at least not totally. I opted to do aftermarket machined faced with a black combo. So for now I ordered the silver painted Z51 wheels.

The safest bet for resale values would probably be painted silver (versus chrome or black).

I think it depends on whether black wheels remain popular or whether it is a fad. I hope it is a fad as I think they look horrible. However, if they remain popular, it won't hurt resale values. Some people wouldn't want the car because of them, but others would.

Based on the poll responses and postings here, it looks like there will be plenty of each, thus the supply and demand should be good enough for everyone to be able to have their choice in the used market and not affect resale prices!

Depends on exterior color for me. Originally had CGM on order. Considered black wheels but thought CGM looked much better with silver painted wheels. But I changed my exterior color to CRT and thought the black wheels (Z51) looked better. Guess that makes me an old fart trying to get younger.

I've been a fan of black wheels for a while now...I ran them on my 98 Toyota Supra TT...in 1998 before the fast and furious craze occured. The thing about black wheels is they are subdued and don't detract from the look of the car...bright wheels stand out and take attention from the car itself. That's how I feel. I like a bit of contrast in my wheels and am seriously considering a set of HRE P40's done kinda like the pic below but instead of where the sides of the spokes are black they would be machine finish while the face is black...
