Default What is 2LT dash across top and above glove box made of?

What is 2LT dash across top and above glove box made of?
I'm not talking about the Carbon fiber instrument cluster.
Between the passenger air vents above glove box (which 3LT is leather) and across top of dash..is the 2LT plastic, aluminum, vinyl, or something else???

I have been looking for this same answer for almost a month. Can anybody help who has been in a 2lt car?

It's black imitation leather, looks exactly like the black 3LT's real leather. All 2LT dashes are black, the black 2LT has light gray stitching the same as a black 3LT. To tell the difference you have to look for a small airbag badge above the passengers A/C vent. The 3 LT has no badge, the word is embossed in the leather.

I'm guessing its a synthetic leather wrap. There is still stitching on the dash, etc even with 1LT and 2LT. On one review, the one with the white Z51 with black wheels and 1LT red interior, the reviewer mentions "leather wrapped everything". The review car definitely wasn't leather wrapped everything, but maybe it looks like it anyways?

From the Car and Driver review :
"Stingray’s dashtop is wrapped with a stitched and grained “protein” vinyl (a blend of  vinyl and silk) good enough to fool a cowhide inspector"

Great info! Thanks.

And on a side note, I still don't get why they didn't offer the 3LT black interior with something different, maybe suede inserts like the brownstone interior. I've heard the different black trim levels are very hard to differentiate, even up close. Why upgrade if its not noticeably different?

That's part of the reason I ordered black in my 2LT.
