Being uncomfortable isn't going to work anymore.
Actually...it does work pretty well.

Here's a side-by-side photo you don't see in the video.

Sure I'm bias, but IMO the Vette appears more polished to me.

for $109,000 + dealer mark up (least that's what the local dodge dealer is asking) I expected more from the viper. Sure it's fast, it should be for what it's packing under the hood, but it doesn't have the feel or presence of a $100,000 car.

it's also not fair to compare the viper to the base vette, never has been, never will be

They aren't selling very well, so dealer markups are sorta' laughable.
Dealers have been sitting on cars for months. There are dealers on eBay knocking $8k off MSRP.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2013-SRT-VIPER-GTS-ADRENALINE-RED-SEPIA-LEATHER-NAV-CAM-HARMAN-KARDON-8K-OFF-/151096138515?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item232e081b13#ht_3677wt_948Ralph Gilles told the press a few months ago that all of the new '13's were already sold. Sure...sold to dealers, not customers.

Never liked the first or second gen vipers (too clownish) However, the third and fouth gen, and now the fifth gen, are in my top 5 most beautiful designs of all time. Not much out there, past or present, is better looking than the 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen vipers. The corvette, even the higher performance models, just don't compare in the looks department. The corvette is the better sports car though. Looks alone though, vipers just look more exotic. I walked into a pole at work looking a 2006 viper convertible.

I have seen both the C7 and the newest viper in person. No contest whatsoever. The vipers looks are just at another level. No doubt in my mind; however, the higher performance C7 will be the better car with better handling and better all-around engineering.

Viper is ugly, but fast, the Corvette is beautiful and much more friendly, better interior and not as hot "temp" inside. Just my opinion. Give me the Corvette.

The Viper driver sent an email with a link to the same video on their forum. Amazing how similar the threads are...

(edit: After reading ALL the posts I'd like to retract my previous observation. It's clearly a tough crowd over there. "The new C7 appears to have some performance to it which is great but is hard to drive considering you have to wear that paper bag over your head with the two eyelets all the time. ", ouch!)

I think it's really misguided to compare a near-$100k car to a $52k car. And to even get to the point where that comparison is being made does not bode well for Viper.

I'd like to see them both with the hood/trunks closed. I love both of them. The black wheels/mirrors/spoiler are breaking up the design to me. The Viper looks good in white... the back end is much sexier than the C7 and I actually like the C7 rear.

Maybe they all just spent a bunch of time with the Corvette and finally are getting around to looking at the viper.

If the Viper is so great why don't you ever see them on the road? I see Corvettes every day but I have NEVER seen a Viper driving down the street.

Met up with some friends from the Viper club the other day(In my grandsport) at a local Dodge dealership. Watched them unload a new Vieper. What a beautiful machine! The sticker was 135k!
