I'd do it... you only paid $4,000 to drive the car for 6 months. That's like a $650/month lease payment. Very respectable.

Seems like a fair trade from a dealer if you don't mind the $4k hit after 6 months. This time next year, you will probably take a $9k or more hit and may not yet see the $5k discount off of MSRP on the leftover 2014's to make the difference up.

Jump quick on that deal. You've probably had 4k worth of fun with the new car. Wish I had a bunch of equity in my car to invest in a C7, but there ain't no way for me.

Sticker is irrelevant. That is a great offer, rarely can you get out of a car so quickly for only that much cost. They obviously want your business.

If you are looking for your best return, no way I'd trade a virtually
new car for another. Remember a more expensive C7-used, will put
you thru the depreciation ringer again, only you'll probably lose
more than $4,000 in 6 months. Especially if GM decides to ugrade
the powertrain next year like they sometimes do in year 2.

If you're going to/in PA, have you tried any nearby Forum dealers to see what they'd do on the trade value? And what kind of an allocation does this dealer have on C7s?

Not something I would do, I'm too cheap to take a hit after only 6 months. But if you really want the C7 then you should jump on it.

$4,000 to move up to a 14 is a good deal.
