I'm pretty impressed with those figures. Not familiar with many other new cars, which come with comparable cost, that are faster. Seems like the only competition in the same price neighborhood would be some sort of C6.

It's amazing how ridiculous the red car looks with a black roof and red pillars that don't extend all the way across the removable piece... either make that targa top body colored or at least color the sides like the reveal car and make the middle black/transparent.

Perhaps. I have significant doubts about whether the gt500 will keep up on a track given weight, and cornering performance difference.

I suppose I could be wrong.

Impressive times for a bunch of auto mag journalists on a smooth track.

Its only going get better when the skilled drivers get there hands on the C7.

And that isn't bad acceleration for a 54k base car.

Figure 8: 23.9 secs (v.s. 22.8 secs).

Considering the Z06 w/Z07 tested had Cup ZP tires, the numbers of the C7 Z51 are very good.
1.13 g (avg) not 1.14g

And yep, switch tires and watch the Z07's numbers wane!
An interesting fact I realized before is the Z06's weight distribution moved around and settled with the Z07's, which, is now the C7's.

You aren't wrong. Hell, the ZL1 is a dead heat with the GT500, sometimes quicker and the C7 is faster than that car at VIR.
