The more I look at the new Stingray...
the more I see the direct evolution from the original Sting Ray. It really looks to me like a modern, aerodynamically and structurally improved 60's stingray. Thoughts?

I don't personally see it but, if you do, I think that is a good thing

Both awesome looking Stingrays.

I see it - definitely a resemblance. There are clearly fenders, 2 doors, potential exhaust system, and a person that sits in the left side of the vehicle for driving purposes. They really went retro for this C7. Kudos to them.

I didn't say anything about "retro" design. I said it looks like it evolved from the C2, the same way humans evolved from monkeys. To suggest that the C7 was styled to look "retro" would be to say that we humans look like donkey kong...

The new tail lights are three dimensional, LED powered, glorious and magnificent pieces that look as if Zeus, the almighty Greek deity made himself. Rumors are God himself had a part in the design, but Zeus's collaborative efforts have gone unmatched in the thunderous and flawless architecture and engineering efforts of the C7 tail lamp.
Take what you think of the C7 tail lights, flush it down the mental toilet, and erase past images of what you think is nice looking and progress in time- the C7 is the new generation of Corvette. Open the mouth, drink the juice... and enjoy.

Of course, in terms of overall proportions (not surface details), the C6 and C7 are very similar. Cover both cars in stretchy car covers and you can hardly tell them apart.

I don't see any, at all... lol, silver, two doors, 4 wheels???!!!
Dude you need to wipe the GM giz off your chin. You might even have it in your hair...
No likey at all.
You will. The tail lights are a superb technological improvement over the past ugly incandescent, round, and out dated tail lights. Round tail lights are the insignia of the past; like the decayed insect embedded in the stony walls of an ancient cave in Zimbabwe. In fact, they should be displayed in a historic museum at this point.

To be brutally honest, the car the C7 most resembles to me is the Ferrari 599 Fiorino, which, IMHO, is one of the best looking Ferrari front engine cars of all time. (The newer ones are too over-the-top for me.) Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
My favorite front-engine Ferrari coupe of all time is the 1960's 275 GTB/4 which followed the fabled 250 GTO. The Fiorino and the Daytona coupes are a close second and third.
