Not all C6s had 2. The "dry"-sump models only had the driver's side one IIRC. The passenger side was taken by the battery. I wouldn't be surprised if its the same for the C7.

Which side is the cubby on? I've got a custom enclosure that only fits on the driver side...:-)

Based on pics in another thread, the cubby is on the driver side and the battery is on the passenger side.

From all that I have seen and read it is 1 cubby and it is on the Driver's side.

The battery is on in the passenger side cubby on all models.

This is a great question, I didn't realize the C6s lost the center giant cubbie... did the floor get lower? What happened to that space, it was perfect for a custom sub

GM says the space was used for a more direct routing on the C6 exhaust system, producing slightly more power. I'm guessing an additional 1 hp.

We really liked that C5 center cubby, which was originally supposed to hold a small temporary spare which got ditched when they decided to make runflats standard.

The C5 rear center storage area was where the optional CD changer was mounted.
