Explaination of Brownstone Interior Suede Options (with PICS)
All, there has been a lot of confusion on the interior options with the Brownstone interior, and what is suede and what is not. Here are 3 pictures that will hopefully explain what is what.
1. What is circled in this picture is what will be a suede finish in the standard Brownstone interior (Trim code 555):
2. In this picture I have circled the additional cost option of the sueded seat inserts which is a $395 option (Trim code 556, and sometimes referred to as IL6):
3. Lastly, in this picture I have circled what you can see of the IWE Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Upper Interior Trim Package, includes headliner, visors, trim above windshield and rear window, A-pillar trim and area around quarter window for $995. As an FYI, these items will NOT be brown suede like the rest.
I hope this explains and clears up some confusion.

Thanks for a very informative post GM'er
Also, buyers should be advised that the IWE black sueded upper trim package replaces black cloth covered upper trim. The standard trim has a tight, fine texture and has a high quality appearance. No 2014 Corvette has plastic upper trim pieces any more.

Ta Da! Finally explained. Thank you.
Now, if Chevy actually had an online car configurator up, there wouldn't have been any confusion.

I really do not see a need for the third option. I understand the headliner but suede around the windshield is a bit much and not necessary IMO. Additionally, the side A pillar suede inserts may not hold up very well after some time with the windows down...
Just seems like a pointless option to me.

From the presentation vids at the bash I understood them to say that with Brownstone the seats always had suede on them...it only comes one way.
Can we get Brownstone with full leather seats if we don't order IL6?
I like the suede on the dash, doors, and headliner...but want to stay full leather on the seats.

GMer...on your point #3, you mention that if you choose the suede headliner/A pillar option with Brownstone interior it WILL NOT be brownstone colored suede (on the headliner). What color will it be? Is the headliner/A pillar suede the same color regardless of the interior color chosen?
The brownstone looks good with that exterior color - I believe it's night race blue - right?
