MSRP or different price

dealers with no allocations pull that crap just to get your order! if the order is in work bench without allocation it will sit at 1100 waiting for said dealer to receive allocation!! big dealers with plenty of allocation send orders with their allocations and only then and immediatly move thru the order code process...He will have his order and status code by the weekend as promised!

I ordered from a small dealer in No.Va. who has an allocation of 3. I'm #1. I originally agreed to $5K over MSRP, but he is backing off with internet statements by large dealers that they won't charge over MSRP.
I guess I'm at his mercy if I want one now. Any suggestions?

I'm in at a decent amount under MSRP - #1 spot @ 3300

My dealer is small town Midwest - he has 3 coupe allocations and 1 convertible. I know that I won't be first in the country to get my c7 - and I'm fine with that. While I'm anxious for the car I'm also mature enough to be patient. No crap was pulled - he was straight up from day one and selling at MSRP. What more could I ask for?

What the heck...I will throw this out there. Perhaps, sharing how much under MSRP and dealership name would be helpful to others interested in a C7.
I question the fact a dealer is are under MSRP for a C7, as the largest Corvette dealers in the U.S., with the bulk of allocation are at MSRP. That said, stranger things have happened.
Heck, the cost to dealer's to train and acquire the appropriate C7 service equipment is expensive. The smaller dealers who sign up for this, most end up passing on the cost to the first wave of C7 buyers.

I'm too old to care if I'm the first on my block with a C7.
I am now the only Vette owner on the block, and if I get a C7 next year at a nice discount, I'll still be the first on my block.

The thing is that the ones of us that want to see a C8 should be happy about this. If the C7 fails there is no guarantee that there will be a C8, so the people who truly love vettes need to support the C7. That way there there will be a C8 that can be the car they always wanted.

Rick hendrick of Atlanta has changed there rules and come back to all on preorder and told us $5000 over MSRP. I have wasted 40 days now on their stupid list to only be lied too. I hear many others got the news yesterday as well. They want the cars on the lot not presales. But Rick Conti at Coughlin got my back now. Hell I even use to be a hendrick motorsports fan now I hope they all crash.

Yep. They're a business and they have employees to pay. After finding out how these dealerships often times struggle and start laying people off, I generally don't have a problem paying a little more over invoice. But I won't pay OVER MSRP. There's a reason it's called MSRP.
My dealership pissed me off this time around. This is likely be the last car I buy from them unless they offer me invoice.

Even "dealer invoice" is misleading. There are lots of spiffs, incentives, kickbacks, trips, freebies for the service and parts depts... "Dealer invoice" is NEVER, EVER EVER a no profit transaction. EVER.

MSRP from Kerbeck's in A.C. No fuss, no muss.
My guess is the only people who claim to be getting the car for less than MSRP are friends with the dealership owner or something. It pretty suspicious that the 1 or 2 people who claim to be getting less than MSRP never provide the name of the dealer.

I went to 5 different dealers in NorCal. 1 came right out and told me probably MSRP + 8-10K. MSRP +5K from another. MSRP +4-5K. I really didn't bother to go any further with them! 2 told me they are going MSRP but had already filled allotment. Last one I went to told me straight MSRP. I said write it on a invoice guaranteed and I'd give him a 5000 dep right then. General sales mgr gave me the paper, I gave them the deposit and my order is sitting in Bowling Green with a 3300 code! I was the 1st of their orders
