C7 Leg and Head Room

C7 Leg and Head Room
I sat in a C7 coupe at the Bloomington Corvette Show. It was only a quick in-and-out, but the car seemed to have significantly less head and leg room than a C2, C3, C5, or C6. I'm 6'4" and am pretty sure the seat was all the way back. If I was ordering one, I'd want to make sure that I fit.

Good advice. Several tall people (6'3"+) who have sat in the car have mentioned there is less legroom, perhaps a lot less legroom, in the C7 vis-a-vis the C6. It's my hunch, not have had an opportunity to sit in a C7 yet, that the design and contours of the new seat are very different from the old seat, and despite the published legroom spec (43") the new car doesn't have nearly the useable legroom of the C6. I hope I'm wrong. Additional comments from those who have sat in the car would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks, Rick. I realize the specs are the same for both cars. (I reviewed the specifications page when it was first available last month.) However, several C6 owners, 6'3" tall or taller who have sat in C7s, have insisted in other threads that they could not fit in the new car. I certainly understand that everyone is different and what fits for one person may not fit for another. That said, the fact that no one over 6'3" has said they can fit in the new car suggests it's an issue, which is why I'm looking for additional input.

They had to leave room for the back seat. Oh, wait a minute, what happened to the guy who guaranteed us about eight months ago that the C7 was going to have a back seat? Didn't some executive at GM tell him it was?
Sorry, I could not resist.

My 6’4” buddy simply said “I don’t fit”.

Something tells me Chevrolet would catch such an obvious problem long before this point. I also find it very hard to believe that "no one over 6'3" has said they can fit in the new car" (as stated by Mechanic). Perhaps the people who said they don't fit need to adjust the seat.

. . . Some folks with fuller stature who own C4,5 6's as well as taller guys couldn't [fit in] and were quite disappointed. One taller guy 6'3 or 6'4 did get in but his knees and head both had clearances problems. You should have seen him try to get out of it. Can you say crow-bar or chain-fall? He is a c6 owner. I'm shy of 6'2 and [did not] have quite the same problem as he had.

I also sat in it at Bloomington. At 5'11" I found it quite adequate. I later sat in the passenger side, (seat all the way back) and my wife commented it looked tighter than our Grand Sport. I assured her I would never be sitting on that side, and there was plenty of room for her.

I'm 6'4"... this is very concerning.
One of the best parts about the Corvette platform having the transmission in the rear was the ample interior space for taller folks such as myself. There really aren't many other sports cars that I can actually fit in properly. "Properly" being the key word in that I can drive the car and heel-toe without my legs in the steering wheel and elbows hitting my legs or having the lay the seat so far reclined that I'm not in a good driving position.
Interior room is the main thing that has kept me out of a Viper all these years. I want a C7 badly, but I can't make myself shorter

Post describes my situation exactly. I have an athletic, muscular build (255lbs) with a big **** and torso, so headroom may be a challenge. There's no way I'd order this car without sitting in it. Plus, I want to see the first hand difference between a 2LT and 3LT from a quality standpoint.

On paper the C7 should fit fine.

I am over 6'2" and had no problem in my C2 BB coupe or C5Z06. I would like a C7 Z51 but I will not cramp on comfort just to have the car
