Is the C7 a dream car?
Like many of us here, the Corvette has been our dream car. Some of us have worked all our lives to buy one and others have been able to purchase it earlier in life (the forum ranges from ages 20s and beyond). For me, I always wanted a vette since I was a kid in the 90s. Started with the C4, then the C5 in high school and I bought my C6 a few years after college in 2009. It was always my dream car and the C4-C6 always carried the traditional vette look(from my generation) which I loved. That's why the C6 held the look of my dream car vette. My question to the forum members is. If you always wanted a vette and never purchased your current or past one, would the C7 be your dream vette if it was your first? Would you have the "I finally got my vette feeling" with the C7.

It depends on your station in life, I think.
The vette is not my dream car. I have higher aspirations than a 50-60k car.
To me, a dream car is an exotic/supercar of some sorts. A lambo, ferrari, R8...something along those lines.
I will have a C7 though and will likely thoroughly enjoy it.

In my book a dream car is something from the past Rich, not from the future.
As a kid growing up my dream car was a Shelby Cobra or a mid 60's Vette. I have been fortunate enough to have owned both and experienced joyful life memories driving them.

Well, it depends on how many of your dreams can become reality. For me, my dream car is an Aston Martin Vantage convertible. The C7 will be my reality car!

The nice thing about a vette is that they are still mass produced and are affordable for most who really want one...in my book a dream car is any car you want but cannot have for a period of time. Do not wait too long though as life is fleeting.

I don't have "dream cars" floating around in my mind. If it is within my means and I want it....I buy it. If not, I dismiss it and move on.

My dream car would be from the past. I had a 1970 LT1 Cortez Silver Convertible way back in the day. With a traction bar, headers, 4 inch front tires, and slicks on the rear it would pull the front wheels off the ground when leaving the line at 6500 RPMs. I was never beat by anything on he drag strip that was remotely as close to stock as this one. I paid $5500 for it new and now if you can find one that's been restored they would be around $70,000. Only 480 +/- of the convertible LT1 made in 1970. My new one will be a NRB C7 convertible. I'm sure I'll enjoy it but no where near what the 1970 LT1 did for me when I was a teenager.

I have "dream cars" from both the past and present. And price does not define it, although most of mine are expensive. As for the C7, know I'm gonna get one - probably in year three of production - so, yes, I dream of the day I get one.

Corvette was a dream car when I was a kid and then when I got to spend seat time in them, not so much. There were a few flirtations with the C4 but the C6 was a gotta have for me.
The only real 'dream car' I have now is way, WAY, out of my price range.

A brand new Vette, with a 6.2L V8, 12 flat quarter etc. for $60K? Kinda dream-come-true. Performance-wise C7 should be the best Vette ever and I'm just glad we have not yet witnessed the second demise of high-performance cars and hope we never do
