Default Is Production starting today?

Does anyone know if production is starting today? As we know, early TPWs of 7/29 were given prior to be taken away.

Can anyone with plant insiders connections please find out for us?

So did I, then I got 8/19 (of course all through the Chevy Chat line - never through my dealer or GM'er, which I believe are more credible than the chat operators), and now no TPW.

With all the orders being checked by GMer dropping back to 3000 today, I would think it is doubtful.

My sentiments exactly. There is a good chance they're pressing the reset button on all of our orders. If I were to guess, I'd say they will start producing next week. However, if they do start today, I will NOT complain one bit.

It's a lot better if they take their time to sort out the problems properly before they get going.

Referring to GM'er's Daily Order Status thread, everyone today is at 3000. No one on his list remains at 3300. This is, I believe, a good sign...there is something going on. It is also somewhat of a relief for a "first in line at the dealer, first consensus, order placed in April" buyer, previously at 3000 behind second consensus buyers at 3300.

I talked to my dealer on friday. He had talked to his factory Rep the day before and was told that production on the sold vehicle would start on 8/19/13.

No per this post:

Tom Hill confirmed at the NCRS National Convention in Hampton VA that they will start building customer cars in August. Now when they actually release them is anybody's guess ...

The clock is ticking and time is money.
There will invariably be issues that they will not be able to completely fix or identify at all. Hopefully there are not too many issues for the early adoptor owners.

There are 31 days in Aug. So when a single car hasn't been built and is Aug 22nd, 3 full months after the first consensus, people will get on this thread and tell us "It's still Aug" and "he didn't say WHEN in Aug" and "It's all part of the plan... I don't know about you but I don't consider if not even one customer has their stingray until Sept. how is that "late summer" give me a break...

Oh yes, and the third quarter story will be used until Sept 30 I would be FINE with all of this if they would have never said late summer and especially taken the first consensus in MAY,

It's just like asking "what day will I die"? Nobody on earth can tell you, but you will know when the day comes.

Everyone needs to chill and be patient - unless you're so old that a day or week here or there COULD make a difference...............

GM is playing games with the TPW's. I'm guessing they have a major problem and it's taking more time to resolve it then they originally thought.

When I special ordered my 1998 C5, my dealer told me TPW and it was around six weeks after he told me. There were a couple of constraints on options I wanted(sports seats and performance axle ratio) but that did not affect getting a TPW as GM would not accept the order from the dealer with those options, thus no TPW was given to the dealer.

Why overreact? Summer ends on Sept. 21. Chevy said all along we would see cars in Sept. Oct. time frame. Nothing has changed! Looks like we are still on target.
