Default Convertible top color

Need suggestion on which color top to get on a night race blue C7. Blue, black, or Grey? I haven't seen any C6s in NRB except one with blue top at the NCM.

Blue may not look that good since NRB is almost black. Black would look good and Gray would look good for contrast if you go with the gray interior.

What about vert top for a crystal red exterior with a Kalahari interior? Black or Kalahari?

I think the blue top would be the best choice for NRB. When the "blue" in NRB shows, the top would look great. Even if the NRB were displaying as near black, the blue top would still contrast nicely. Black is a neutral color, so any color can be used with it.

I'd go with Kalahari if color is the only concern.

I'd go black top on all exterior colors. Now if they had a white top & interior option......

the difficulty is in matching colors of top to exterior to interior. you have a higher potential to have a non-complementary color. jmo

one note about the above comments, however: if the gray top is exactly the same color as on C6s, it has a lot of blue in it. it is by no means a 'flat gray' like the light gray (called "titanium") interior of the C6. I know; I have both (interior and "gray" top).

Are there any issues with seams or wear marks on lighter colored vert tops? A friend of mine has a C5 vert and he told me to only get black. SJ

no issue w. seams, per se. but there is an issue w. small dirt marks getting relatively "embedded" in the lighter colors. some say they can get it out, others not so (or not so easily). there are, however, creases that can be seen on the lighter colors (and is less visible on black or darker colors)

I've seen a NRB convertible with blue top and to my eyes the combo looks great.

I realize that it's not a C7 but here's a C6 I photographed at the museum last year. You be the judge.
