Roof Panel
I noticed in the order guide CC3 Roof panel, 1-Piece Glass $995.
Is it really glass on the C7 or is it still plastic ? Maybe they changed to glass because of the problem with cracks in the plastic that the C6 experienced.

Polycarbonate has been the standard material for years. It's strong, thus can be utilized in thin sections to reduce weight. A "glass" top would weigh so much, it would take two people to handle it, plus much harder to manufacture the compound curves, etc.

In other words, the marketing guys ("Glass") overpowered the engineering guys ("Polycarbonate") in writing the order guide.

The Sales Guide lists it as "transparent roof panel" as does the online order guide. I have not seen it listed as "glass" anywhere.

On Kerbeck's website, it does say the CC3 roof panel is glass, and they are never wrong. LOL

I can't understand why they would do that. Can you imagine a customer taking deliver of his new C7 and saying "this is supposed to be a glass roof" because thats what it says in the brochure. Seems to me they could sue GM for false advertising.
