Arctic White vs Torch Red...
I keep going back and forth between Arctic White and Torch Red. I think that AW looks really good and different but everyone that asks what color I am getting criticizes my choice. Is AW that bad of a color on a Corvette? To me it's a classy exotic look but I think I am in the minority.
I have always had Silver cars and I am trying to do something different this time...
I was planning AW, 2LT with Red interior and Red calipers with silver wheels and dark tint on the windows.
If I did TR it would also be 2LT with Red interior and tint.
What are your thoughts? Does anyone have pictures of a similar set up? This is turning into a stressful process...
Thanks.

I think either are great.
I ultimately am choosing TR with a black interior, red calipers and silver wheels (although I will replace the wheels with a tinted brushed wheel). Red is agressive and sporty and I worry that red on red will be too much red for me long term. Hence the black interior. I also wanted to go a little more aggressive with color this time around.
If I chose AW, it would definitely be a red interior.
Flip a coin... either are great.

I think red and black interior will look great.
I just feel as if I need to make a color choice other than black because of of the bold options but I guess I have a strange way of looking at it.
I also like the contrast that all the vents have on the lighter colors.

I have had a lot of white cars. I love white. It doesn't seem to show dirt like most other colors, is highly visible at night, and the color holds up very well over time. That said, from the photos I've seen, IMO the white C7 just doesn't seem to show off the crisp lines of the car as well as the red. My opinion may change when I see one in person.
I've also owned quite a few red cars and love that color as well. The paint on older red cars didn't hold up well to the elements, but modern automotive paint chemistry has made fading and mottling a thing of the past. Red is a great classic sports car color and will always be popular for resale.
It really comes down to what YOU like. YOU'RE going to be driving it, not your friends.
Finally, if someone criticized the color I chose, I'd tell them I'll get the color they like....if they buy the car for me. And when my C7 arrives and they see how beautiful it looks (as it will in any color) and ask for a ride? Sadly, no, because they surely wouldn't want to be seen in THAT color Stingray.
Either color will look great, but you should pick whatever appeals to YOU the most.

I am in a similar "bind" as you are. I am unsure between CG and AW. Mind you I have had 3 vettes, all red, but for some reason the TR is just a bit to sporty and I think if I go "sporty" the AW & Red interior is as you say a bit exotic without being as in your face as TR.
In the end get what YOU want - who care what everyone else thinks? Trust me no one's going to question your color choice when you drive up in that thing, and anyone who does is driving Jealousy Green...which is the worst color of all....

I love AW on the C7. That is what I ordered on mine. I actually Dont really care for the TR vette, not sure what it is. I think the AW has a clean look that is a tad classier than the other colors.

More First-World problems.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
The only person you have please is yourself. Want your car to really stand out? Get red. Want to fade into the background? Get white. Don't worry about what everybody else thinks....unless they're making your car payments.
FWIW...I'm on my second red Vette...hence the bias toward that color.

If I were getting one... I think I would go for the AW/Red combo. Its a timeless classic and I don't think you would regret the choice...
TR...
Meh...
oh look, another red corvette....

One week from today, June 30th, is the 60th anniversary of the first Corvette. Those first 300 were white with red interiors. It would be a nice gesture to honor Corvette's heritage by ordering white with red. You could order it on the 30th....

IMO, I think the red really compliments the C7 and is striking. I like white cars and have had white cars so its not that I have anything against white. In the end you have to go with what you like - you will be the one driving it.
Worst case scenario = you trading in your "X" color C7 in for a "Y" color C7 because you weren't happy with it and just decided you couldn't live with it.

I have had both red and AW vettes..... but my AW with Torch red interior get's more attention than anything I've ever owned. So when the time comes...maybe it will....I'll pick a AW with Torch red interior.
