Anyone order Base C7 no options?
I'm seriously considering ordering a base C7 without any options. It would be my 2nd car but would drive it on highway during summer for 50 mile daily commute. I would like a decent ride on highway but still would occasionally take to track for fun. Haven't seen many pics of base C7. Will it have the small spoiler standard as shown below? I know can get Z51 spoiler as option but actually like rear without it. I also don't mind base wheels and exhaust. Anyone order base C7?

I was all set to order a base car myself, but then the pricing was announced and was lower than expected. It didn't take long to convince myself to go 2LT for the Kalahari interior, HUD, etc., since this will most likely be the greatest car I will probably ever own. But even the base car with no options is a fantastic automobile...IMO.
It doesn't really matter how you get one.....just get one!!

OP, you could be subject to much backlash around here using the term "Base car" even though thats what it is.

C7s, I would consider getting a 2LT at least. The HUD makes a world of difference IMHO. In fact, when driving a car that doesn't have a HUD, I had to go looking for the speedo and it was really weird. Seeing the speed on the window in your peripheral helps keep your speed in check and keeps you out of trouble. Sometimes you can't tell that you're going way faster than you think.
Also, since you said you're going to be driving the car in the summer, the cooled seats that come with the 2LT may be a gem. Here in Los Angeles, cooled seats are a top luxury since it gets pretty hot here.
I can't think of any other reasons to be honest. If this is just a fun car to kick around in the summer and you're not going to be beating the **** out of it on the road, I'd say you probably wouldn't need the Z51 stuff.

Cooled seats in 2LT probably is the option I would miss the most. I like the Night Race Blue with black int but would consider gray int so seats don't get as hot. Haven't seen many pics of grey int. Also not sure why HD radio isn't included in 1LT. Wonder if I can be programmed after.

I'm ordering the C7 without Z51.
It'll have the 2LT package, red calipers and nav.
Too many nice items in 2LT to refuse. I really recommend it. HUD is amazing, so are dimming mirrors, cooled seats, center console/door coloring, universal remote, upgraded stereo.
I'll get the dealer installed Z51 spoiler.
I don't mind standard wheels, but I can always get aftermarket.

I've never listened to HD radio. I have no idea what it's like. So I don't know if I'd miss it. Since I'm getting it in my C7, I'm guessing it will be one of those "can't live without" things at some point. I used to have XM and currently do not, so when I get the C7 it will have XM and I'll be happy with my radio options again.

If the base C7 meets your needs than go for it. The 2LT package is pretty appealing for the price but that is just my opinion.
If you can be happy with the car set up as is than great. Enjoy!

HD radio is normal radio but with CD quality sound plus few more stations to listen to. I'll be only one driving car so memory pkg not necessary. Windows will be tinted so dimming mirrors not necessary. Can anyone post pic of grey interior? Also are there any pics of 1LT interior compared to 2LT?

That really tics me off!

Melting Slicks
To those mentioning "cooled seats", I agree that they are a really great new addition, but keep in mind they are ventilated, not cooled, seats.
Unlike some cars that will actually take cooled air from the air conditioning system, these seats will circulate air from inside the cabin into the seats.
I'm not complaining! But people expecting chilled backsides should have realistic expectations.

If I were buying one it'd be a base. But I think I'd have to get the spoiler or wait until the z came out and get one of them if I liked it. My c5z has plenty of options for me and doesn't even have a/c lol

The memory package is the most irritating option I've come across. I'm the only driver and I have no problem getting in or out of the car. Fortunately, it's easy to disable in my C6's, but for some reason, I could never quite do so in my old C5.

the back view of the red base car seems to show some separation between the 2 left and 2 right exhausts tips ( since they are a smaller diameter?) while NPP exhaust tips are spaced equally - anybody else see that?

I ordered my previous car (2008 coupe) as a 2LT (less features than the current 1LT), and I can't say I really missed the options like the HUD and memory seats. I do like the performance options though, so I didn't order a "base" model.
All that being said, this time I'm going with the 2LT. I think you get quite a bit for the money and I'm liking the new HUD better than what was available in 2008. I'll also be getting performance options like Z51, NPP, and Mag ride.

My 1980 was a base model
My 1982 was the Collectors Edition
my 1985 was a base model
My 2002 was a base model 1SA
Yvonnes 1973 was a base except for the L82 engine upgrade
Her current is a 2003 AE vert.
I/we have equally loved owning every one of them. The 2015 will probably be the base (unless we opt for the vert).
