Default First in Line to Last (or) What I Did for Love (of late availability features)

I ended up deciding to surrender my order priority for a late availability feature, the Performance Data Recorder.

I'm sure quite a few of you had to do the same from ordering the Competition Seat.

Seeing the new owners driving their new cars this summer is going to be a little of a twist of the knife but I'm sure it'll all be worth it when the car arrives exactly how I want it.

Support group starts here.

I have been in your shoes, and hated it. This time around I am not waiting. I just can't (where is my support group?).

I am getting a Z51 2LT standard seats. I will drive it for a while, then either hand it down to my son or flip it for the Hi-Po version which will be loaded with everything I would need and more.

Does anyone know exactly what this option is/does?

UQT Performance Data and Video Recorder
UVF Front Vision Camera (Included and only available with UQT)

Could it be added later? I don't know if I'd would want to wait for it.

I hear ya. I know some of us have gotten greif for paying MSRP. I have been blessed with a couple very good years in my career and in the market, so this is my reward. I am so looking forward to getting it. If it happens to be a dog (highly unlikely) or they introduce another model in the following year (highly likely) we will then look at making another move. Until then...I look at it as low risk, hi reward (IMHO)

I too had to forfeit my order placement standing this week. I wanted the competition seats and am willing to wait. Silver with a 3LT adrenaline red interior w/carbon inserts just wouldn't look right with out the competition seats. Who knows how long the wait will be...but if I ordered the GT seats and saw one with the comp seats 3 months or even 6 months later, I'd kick myself.

an FYI...I was talking with Dave at Kerbeck this past weekend and he said the Competition Seats are really tight on a big guy.

Thanks, I heard that as well. I've got a 30" waist and my weight floats between 160-174. I'm looking forward to the snug fit.

Want to send me a check for the $ you can waste then?

Interesting...Ferrari competition seats are offered in 3 widths. Chat on the F458 forum advises ordering the widest even if you aren't very wide.

I'm going with the assumption that if I fit in Porsche sport seats, I'll fit in Corvette sport seats. 6'4 250 lbs build like a fat giraffe.

Definitely worth waiting.

This is a dream car. A dream that would suck a little bit if some features are missing.

Sure, if I didn't have 3 grown-up kids, two of which are already arguing to wants to take it over once the Hi-Po version is out.
