My wife and my Corvette are two special things. She thinks the car comes first. I disagree.

Btw, he has more....
You did great. C6 will be sharp for a long time. Jerry Hamm here in Jacksonville has a pair of 427 convertibles that I have gone to drool over. I'd take the red one off his hands in a heartbeat.

It all about how the ride goes. You can't appreciate HP by just looking at it. I've always believed HP should best be measured by the seat of the pants ...if you can't feel it, what good is it... Right? What are you guys talking about?

If I were in the market for a brand new Corvette, this would be the route i would take as well. Love the c7, but a 427 at $14k off sticker would be too good to resist. The car is going to be iconic IMO. In a couple of years, there will be great deals on the C7 as well. It's just a smart move I believe.

Just an example...if you want to say you own a C6 427 steel-frame vert, this makes good sense. I'll be waiting for the C7.

MSRP $89,165
YOUR COUGHLIN 427 CORVETTE IS ONLY $76,995 *

As a little kid I'd ride my bike over to the car dealers and snoop around to sneak a peek at the new models they were hiding till introduction day. I was EAGER to see the new models.

Why have we all been following this C7 forum for so long? Because we were EAGER to know all about the new Corvette.

It's only logical that we'd be EAGER to have one.

If the excitement ended after you'd seen the new C7 then there's no reason to buy one at all. You can save a lot of money now on older higher horsepower models.

That would be torque and there is a nice improvement with the C7 in that regard.

I think you missed it... I was talking about the 'other' performance models in this thread.

But as for cars, I like high revs. The LS7 has both torque and revs - if I want to feel torque only, I'd drive a diesel.
