First Appearence of the C7 in Texas
This is from Robert Shellberg, LSCC Classic 2013 Officer:
We just received an email from Chevrolet:
"there is actually one more (thing) that Chevrolet would like to send that you haven't received yet.....2014 CORVETTE STINGRAY! The vehicle will be dropped off on May 17th in the afternoon to accompany Dave Tatman at the event"
LSCC will be hosting the first appearance C7 in Texas, and we're going to have it for the entire weekend at the classic. It will be on display under the grandstands at Texas Motor Speedway during the Car Show on Saturday, during dinner in the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott Saturday evening, and at Track Day on Sunday.
You don't have to wait until this fall to see the 2014 Stingray in a dealer's showroom. Time is running out but you can still register for the Classic online and see it this weekend. Dave Tatman, Corvette Assembly Plant Manager, will be giving a special presentation about the car after dinner on Saturday. There are a limited number of dinner tickets still available if you act fast.
You can register at the Lone Star Corvette Club website: lonstarcorvette.com

Think he means the first time it's being shown, a little more up close than a highway spotting

No, it's the Lone Star Corvette Clubs annual car show and track day at Texas Motor Speedway usually 500+ cars at the show under the grandstands at the speedway, then people run on the infield track and on the big track. It's a 3 day event starting Friday.

This year's Classic should be better than previous, and they have been Fantastic. The Lone Star Corvette Club throws a lot of support towards the NCM. I'm glad to see some of their efforts rewarded. Great Job!!

Well, unfortunately this year I had to choose whether to ride my bike (Cross Timbers classic) that same day or see the Vettes. Car show wins as I am in no shape to ride a bike. However, I am surprised they are holding the show & ride, both, at TMS. So...no burnouts with hundreds of cyclists all around...a little tricky getting into the parking lot I guess.

Can someone that goes Saturday please post what color (interior and exterior) car is there and whether they let you sit inside? I'm trying to decide if it's worth a drive up from Houston.
Thanks.
Thanks.
