I have realized something...new vs the old
Hey Guys,
I don't know if this has been noticed yet, but after talking to several non-corvette enthusiasts and corvette enthusiasts alike, I discovered there is a distinctive trend in the opinions of the car.
The non-enthusiasts tend the like the car more, especially the tail lights. Where the enthusiasts are the ones that seem to complain the most about the car, especially the tail lights. So it seams that Chevy has nailed the goal of attracting new customers. And managed to excite about 67% of the corvette enthusiasts, and disappoint the other 33%. However, there are still those in that 33% that would still buy the car.
New guys and people who have just seen corvettes around - like the taillights
The enthusiasts have conflicts.

Yes, the new tail lights struck a nerve with some Vette "purists", but it will be a matter of time before most of them realize how much better they are.
There's still going to be some stragglers, though. Just like there are with every generation, there's always people that thought something that wasn't carried over was the "best thing they ever got rid of."
There's still guys that think the L98 is the best motor ever. There's still guys that think the C5Z was the best looking Vette ever. There's still guys that think the round tail lights are the best lights ever.
There's going to be TONS of small details that some people like more than the out-going. But that's fine. That's part of the heritage of Vettes and that's why ALL generations will always be loved.

I don care what anyone says I'm a C6 owner and I like the new taillights. Kinda similar to the Mustang taillights wit d 3 dimension thing going on. To bad they didn't opt for sequential taillights then you'd have a real design statement.

Seems that way doesnt it. There is no need to create 100 different threads bitching about a car you dont like when we are already fully aware of it. If you dont like something dont buy it, simple as that. You dont see me going to the C6 gen and trolling everyone how ugly the headlight is...

Some traditionalist don't like change early on. Some interweb trolls are happy to stroke the flames....some enthusiasts dig the changes ......some tire of typing responses....
Making assumptions on interweb reaction count is less than logical.
Those with the cash and the desire will buy the c7.

I have owned a C4, two C5's a C6, and now I will be buying a C7. I do track days and car shows, am a car guy in general AND I LOVE THE NEW C7 Z51 optioned coupe. I respectfully dis-agree with almost every assertion you make in your post having said that, enjoy your C6

All depends on the economy does it not? This balloon that gets more hot air in it everyday will pop soon and it will be a different world. IF you believe that better get a new Vette while you can.
