JoesC5,

There are specific options that are not yet orderable. Those options are not constrained because the system won't even let us enter an order with them at this time. Chevrolet notified us that there are specific options that are to be released sometime after production begins.

Then the first C7's will roll out of Bowling Green during the last week of June? That sounds like the normal production schedule.

Would you guess that the big dealers should be seeing their first C7's in mid to late July?

Is the plant going to shut down during the first two weeks of July for vacation, like they have done in the past?

If that is the case, when, in your opinion, should dealers with allocations expect their first cars to start rolling in?

Ken,

How do allocations today relate to what was stated the 23rd of May?
Did all 900 eligible dealers get an allocation, or only some of them?
If not all, when would you guess the small eligible dealers would get their first allocation?

Thanks

What Ken is quoting today are the numbers for the actual weekly order placement cycle. The allocations were all distributed last Monday, and all 900 dealers were offered at least one. From the few dealers I have looked at, it seems like some dealers that had multiple allocations last week have a car (or cars) to order this week, and dealers with smaller allocations will be ordering their first one next week.

Thanks for the clearifcation. This seems to match the call I got from my dealer today telling me to come in next Thursday and pick the options (I'm getting the 1st of the three they have been allocated) so hopefully everything will fall into place.

This is great news. They must feel the test cars are meeting the quality goals needed to go into production. No the new GM no longer shuts down in July so production should continue through July.

Wow Fantastic. Thanks Ken and Gm'er. Looks like mine will be being build over my birthday week June 27th!! Phenomenal!!

A few random questions:
When will a brochure be available?
What is the wattage of the stereo?
Does basstube in the back have its own amp?
