Just curious...why were you hoping I would respond?
Honestly, I have a great deal of respect for your knowledge and knew you could put the numbers in right place.

I have no debate with you at all, just trying to understand what happened in that test.

I think Jim will be on target. But hey, if not, he WILL figure out a way to break into the new computer and do what he does best.

My money is that it is an error, since the numbers do not make any sense.

BTW, $1000 and we could download the Level 2 Certification Document. It would show all the parameters at all rpms. That would be interesting, but not a wise use of cash. I would rather pay someone off to feed me the new LT1 numbers.
Man you are fast! I wrote that to be funny but it didn't seem that funny when I read the post so I deleted it...it was up less than 5 minutes! Sorry about my feeble attempt at a joke.
I agree about the $1000. FYI, if it was 5800 rpm, that would make torque 457 lb-ft...pretty impressive flat torque curve if true.

EDIT: I've seen many drawings and test procedures that have been reviewed by 3 or 4 people that had gross errors, some had been around 20 years...it wouldn't surprise me if the error made it past SAE and GM.
