Bowling green assembly plant

I was told I could have my Corvette sooner if it was shipped to my dealer. What is a few weeks more to have such a fabulous experience? My wife claims I will be lost after we have the car because I spend so much time now thinking about it. LOL

The museum does around 3 deliveries a week average(181 R8C in 2012), so it shouldn't take to long for them to do the PDI once they get the car delivered to them from the plant. Your local dealer also has to do the PDI before you can drive it home.
Sometimes, cars are held at the plant for a quality review , which may or may not lengthen the delivery time to the receiving dealer. But that would lengthen the time before you would get your car from your local dealer.
My 1998 C5 was the last car off the line Friday November 7,1997 and it was delivered to the dealer in Tulsa on Tuesday November18, 1997 and I drove it home on November 19, 1998, twelve days after it was built.
My 2009 Z06 was built at the end of June 2008, but didn't arrive at my Springfield, MO dealer until July 24, 2008. Approximately a month later.

Dave, my NCM delivery was in November, and since tours had ended by then, I got a rain check. Any idea if I could take mine on this basis, or do I need to wait for the general tours to resume?

That decision isn't made yet but it is being worked on. The plant needs to limit the number of folks coming through but both the plant and the museum are well aware that there are customers just like you out there that were still buying Corvettes and taking museum delivery well past the plant closure in September. They are trying to work it out and will have it soon.

That is all the information that is currently available.
No, no one knows when the public plant tours will resume again.

Troll? I don't think so my friend. Only trying to lighten things up around here and find something humourous to add. It's nearly the same thing every day in this forum...absolutely nothing new, except a new post about Camaro tail lamps or how the car is too heavy. Those are your trolls.
I'm not blaming the forum for GM's delay in getting more data so that we can have more pertinent discussions on the C7. But for God's sake, lets add a little humor in here while we wait. It's getting stuffy. Don't be so uptight. Put the shades on and be
