C7 testing with competition

I've had 2 of them. Trust me, it's special.
That doesn't mean the Vette isn't special either. They are just too far away from one another in so many areas.
If you really want to test it against something, you should test it against the new F12. I drove this one a few weeks ago. 730 HP / 509 lb/ft torque with a V12 engine that screams to 8500 RPM. 0-62 in 3.1 sec. 211 top speed. Been in production about 9 months now.
Just... plain... awesome.

The F12 and the 458 are gorgeous.
If I could only pick one of the group to drive to see what it was like, tho, I'd pick the McClaren (since the F12 wasn't part of the group).
Would love to see what that car is all about.

Yes. I am glad it's in there. I am certain the base Sting Ray is going to be a VERY capable car, I would like for at least a LITTLE of the attention focused on a non Z51 car. You know that when the magazines start testing the C7 in a few months, that EVERY test will be a Z51 equipped car.

But, this is the Corvette forum so I'll shut up!
I drove the Mac 12 two weeks ago. Fast but boring. Soul-less in it's perfection. And, ridiculous to get in and out of. Falling out of it will make people around you have this word bubble above their heads:
"What a dork!"

Seriously the F12 is one of the best looking cars ever made. The 458 is in fact special as well.
And yes, im a vette guy, but I know a supermodel when I see one.

The front wheel of the C7 looks much closer to the front bumper which I quite like. Wheels pushed to the corners as far as possible looks best IMO. It could simply be that the C6's windshield is slope differently. I can't quite tell. The profiles are similar but the C7 looks better to me for some reason... rake of the windshield, perceived placement of the wheel wells, the side flare along the bottom, etc all seem well done. I also really like the roof line to the back of the car... maybe because it isn't glass? Anyway, profile is amazing on the C7... C6 is good too though :thumbs
P.S. I love this quote from GM in the article when asked why the Ferrari and Porsche were there...
Let's hope it delivers because that would be win, win, win

A key goal for the Corvette Stingray was to develop a car that had world-class levels of performance, design, and technology. As we approach the final calibration of the Stingray, we want to ensure that it delivers one of the best driving experiences available from any sports car -- regardless of price.

The C7 is better looking with more modern proportions.

C7 is at a (very) slight angle to the camera lens whereas the C6 is dead square on. Could that cause it?

Awesome, wish there were no watermarks on those photos. I wonder why there was a ZR1 there rather than a Z06? The C7 no doubt has its eyes set on stiff competition. Maybe it's to see where the stingray stands and how much more they need for the higher performance variant? Only throwing ideas.

Relative to each other, the C6 looks going slightly left and/or the C7 going slightly right. Also, we know some C7s got rained on so this might be one of those and it therefore, of course, shrunk just a little bit. Like new Levis

Drifting
The only thing would make the C7 even better is lower/shorten the space between the fender and wheel.
#58
If similar to C6 in this regard that is an easy (and popular) mod. Chevy probably doesn't want to be warranty liable for potential heightened dragging damage on speed bumps, etc.

Of all of those cars, it would be very difficult to choose just one. Man I bet that had fun driving the ____ out of those awesome cars. Should have added a GTS Viper in with the mix but, meh.
