Mine says "order Placed" as well. I believe there are two order systems. Dealers with OrderWORKBENCH can place orders now, others have to wait. It should have no affect on when the car will arrive.

The problem with ordering this far out is that some of the options you are ordering might end up being on supplier constraint when the car goes into production. Some colors may even be on constraint. Because of what you are ordering your order might not be produced until January 2014 for all anyone knows at this point. Really putting an order in now means nothing about how early you will get your cars. Nothing will be finalized until Late June or early July.

My dealer used orderWORKBENCH. The order was processed Monday April 15th and I received a printout of it with the order number that afternoon.

Or else, it's just another GM fail. Another great idea that they can't execute.
Try http://www.chevrolet.com/new-2014-co.../specs/specs_1
and then click on the red "view authorized dealers" on the lower right side of the page.

orderlink = spinning wheel of death
I'm confused on how some say they have ordered & have confirmation when others are told not yet. My dealer, 1st in vette sales for the state keeps with the "not yet" status quo.
I'm beginning to think nobody knows

My dealer used order workbench also, it says the configuration below was created as a stored configuration with the following config ID:RBDJKF. Not sure what this means though. I am still contemplating the museum delivery option

I ordered my car from a CF sponsor dealer and got an order number right away. I went to the Chevy website and input my order number and it says "Order Placed".
So, its B.S. if your dealer says GM is not accepting orders.

I had an appt this morning with my local dealer. I'm #2 on their list for a Coupe. They have an initial allocation of 14-vehicles.
I thought I was going to order a car today.
It turns out that THEY can't place the order with Chevrolet yet. They'll pick the options and give you a price, but there is no method to convey this to GM. I told them to call me when a REAL order can be placed.
I trust them. I just wanted to hear from other Forum members who placed orders. Is this what you have been told as well?

Scraping the splitter.
See what a GM zone rep wrote on another thread. Everyone is being anxious which is understandable...but read on.
"There is no advantage with GM for putting in an order on 4/18. Like Dave said, we are still weeks away from GM picking up any of the dealers orders and scheduling them for production. Each dealer that was given a production estimate of Corvette's for the first 6-9 months of production will have their allocations given to them by GM on GM's schedule, regardless of when, or how many orders they enter into the system.
The key thing you need to know is how your dealer is prioritizing your order within their order bank, so when the week comes up when they get an allocation from GM, your order is first, second, third, or whatever number you are supposed to be on their list."
