Holy Crap another speculation thread
Get back to us when someone has ACTUALLY SAT In the car and drove it to see exactly what you see or don't see

It is somewhat speculative, but at least there is a 360 degree look that gives us something to go by. I think it is pretty accurate to say that the view is far more restrictive than previous Corvettes - I don't think that can be denied.

Terrible rear visibility was immediately obvious with this design. Until now, it has also studiously avoided being mentioned.
The same problem became the most oft-mentioned knock on the 2010 Camaro and no complement has ever been paid to that car without also mentioning the terrible blind-spots. I suspect this is what is in store for the C7.

I suspect that it will have less visibility, at least for the coupe version. I will learn to deal with it.

Well, there IS a solution for those who have visibility as their top priority. I imagine you can still find one of these on ebay motors from time to time
My apologies to anyone who threw up on their monitor after seeing this photo.

Mirrors and back up cameras are great, but are not a cure all for simply bad visibility.
IMO, back up cameras are great,.... for backing up
Adjusting the side mirrors properly are great driving down a highway
But only work for the lane directly beside you and Not the second lane over.
Mirrors don't help pulling out of a side street that enters the main road at an angle when you Need to look back at a 45 degree angle to see traffic.
Won't stop me from getting a C7 some day ...
But Mirrors just don't help under all conditions and never will

Garish styling
Small windows
But I bought a C5 even though I didn't like the styling, and the visibility issue will only be known when I can do some hop-from-one-to-the-other testing at the dealership.

IMO it's evident in almost all new vehicles today.

Oh...and always use your turn signal prior to changing lanes.

New cars are solving those problems though. My new Explorer Limited has blind side monitoring - tells you if there is a car in your blindspot that does not show up in the mirror. Backing up tells you if there is a car coming that you cannot see in your mirror or with the back up camera. Of course some here are opposed to all of the new electronics -adds weight. But after you have driven a car with these features - and advanced cruise control - you will want them on all of your cars that you do any significant driving with.
