Light or Dark?
So I have owned my Carlisle Blue C6 for a little over year now and like most of the folks around here, I like, no I LOVE to wash, polish, and wax the hell out of the car. I do it almost every weekend.
So my problem is this. Since Carlisle Blue is a light color (sort of a silvery blue), it is really hard for me to achieve that really DEEP "mirror" look, no matter HOW hard I try. Dark colors (black, dark blue, etc) look so mucher DEEPER freshly washed and waxed, but not so much the lighter colors...
I truly love the look of this color and also like the fact that like silver, it is really good at hiding minor flaws (chips, swirls, etc). It just don't "POP" (freshly waxed) like a black or dark blue car...
So, I am in conflict here. When I do buy the next 'Vette (a C7 in a year or so), I need a good color choice. Is there something out there that POPs like black, yet hides the small sins like silver?
I am open to suggestions...

You can wax that color (Carlisle Blue) a 100 Million times its still never gonna have that deep waxed look that a dark color has. Its made to be a light color. If you want a deep dark color order a darker color on your next Vette.

Melting Slicks
If you like to wax/polish cars......go with black. They look great right after you finish detailing them. I love the pop of a black car, but will probably not own another one. I say "probably" as it is possible I will get brain damage and forget how much effort it is to keep one clean to my satisfaction.
Bright colors (torch red or laguna blue for the C7) are the best compromise.
