Default Horizontal chrome strip in the "mouth" of the front fascia: The fix to remove it?

So, what is the fix to remove the horizontal chrome strip in the "mouth" of the front fascia ????

-Complete removal of strip with a dremel
-Peel off chrome
-Some paint black
-Plasti Dip

Thanks.

Thanks to Zymurgy to his photochop below that removes the chrome strip in the grill :

PS:
I am either a sliver or black color guy, and I believe the C7 almost NEEDS to be black to match the rear lower fascia and all the vents.
With that said, d@mn that blue above looks good !
One of the best pics / angles I have seen of the C7.

Probably attached with a couple screws, so remove and plastidip or paint.

Paint it Carbon Flash Black to match the vents. I'm just the opposite, I really like contrasting vents on the brighter colors. I'm going with Laguna Blue, black wheels, carbon flash black mirrors and spoiler.

Or remove and keep off but available for future use. If not removable w/o damage then either plasti-dip or even appropriate black tape. If I had one I would just leave it alone though.

I agree that the Laguna Blue is the best color I've seen that contrasts with the black body pieces and looks good doing it.
But, some of us like everything to match, so I am stuck with black.

PS
After all these years, I can't believe CF still doesn't enable you to fix typos in your thread title.

According to that article, that car in the pic is a pace car.
Hence, the lights in the grill.

Or get whatever color you like and have the vents/rear painted to match.

GM discovered that on one drives a Corvette in rain, fog, or snow thus they deleted the fog lights for the C7.

RZ9 "Grill, Painted Ciber Gray"

I wonder if that also paints over the chrome strip?

I will be removing this as well however, I'm going to give it a chance and drive the car a few weeks with it. Then try to make a educated decision. I hate chrome so I'm sure i will be booting it

It may be easy to Plasti-Dip it for removal later.
