Thank you for an educated and informed post on the subject!

You are right it was dumb. But my point is that a jag is just not a drivers car. Its a poser car x 1000 these days. My sister has a xjl. I have a z06 i track as often as possible, which isnt very much. Comparing one to the other is just silly even though hp is the same.

I can think of 10 cars id rather have than a jag before i give up my vette

Viper
Sti
Evo
Gtr
Caymen
911
Lotus
M3
Rs4
Rs5
R8

..assuming mt available and not in that order.

I am sorry for the stupid post before. But my point was it is a poser car, the jag, because no one tracks it so the numbers are pointless and the car is never... Never used to its potential.

Why would anyone chose a jag over a c7 vert? I just dont care because the reason isnt interesting to me.

Sorry, ill go away.

Considering the typical quality of a Jaguar, the ridiculous price premium, the extra weight, and the inferior overall performance (especially if you don't opt for the V8 S) and even efficiency, thanks but no thanks, Jaguar. I'm sticking with the C7.

C7 looks better, too, if you ask me.

I did look at the F-type having been very happy with the six Jags we have owned in the past. We have two now a 2004 XJ8 and a 2011 XF. I really liked the F-type, but there were a couple of drawbacks. For me the major issues were stotage or lack there of, cost and of course the C7 Corvette. With a base on the F-Type of $69,000 I view the C7 as a much better value. The interiors are both very nice and I really liked the sounds of the F-Type V8. But that was over $100,000 no matter how you optioned it. A fully optioned base F-Type is over $85,000. I bought the C7 and love it.

But I can certainly see the attraction of the F-Type and I can't wait to see the coupe model that will be coming shortly. It is a great time for sports cars.
